Chapter Text

A blank expression was located on Keigo's face, his sandy eyes staring intently at the sickly-looking man that had entered. The man was at least 7 ft in skinny form and slouched, which Keigo internally pursed his lips at.

Keigo had previously gotten a hunch about the man. He was slowly beginning to see that the All Might society loved, was slowly fading away. His time out was slowly deteriorating, and his villain busts were non-existent. Also, no one had seen a 7'3 shiny man in a store so it was obvious the oaf had a different appearance. All Might had been teaching at UA, maybe that was to help society ease into not having a symbol? Keigo, for once, had no clue.

Questions raced through the crimson-winged man's head, and he allowed his face to show a bit of shock as a jumbled sentence exited his mouth. "What the hell...?"

The other blond had gone stock still, shaded blue eyes widening, yet his face held a wince of agony as if it pained him to see that the younger recognizes him.

"Hawks-Kun, I'm sure Nedzu-San has filled you in on the job, yes?"

A slow and hesitant nod lifted off of Keigo's neck, confusion clouding his eyes while he looked on.

"Well, I was given the task of informing you of ... Well, this I believe." the man gestured to himself before continuing "Around six years ago, I was severely hurt in a battle with my arch-nemesis. His name is All for One." All Might lifted his shirt tenderly to show the startled man his injury.

A wince covered Keigo's features as he almost lurched back from how bad the wound was. "Holy shit All Might, that's bad." he blurted, cringing when he heard how bad that seemed to be.

Surprisingly, All Might just laugh, "I know I know. No need to point it out, and please, call me Yagi. It's my name y'know?" the man attempted to joke yet held...a more of a warning tone. Keigo didn't like that at all, it sounded too close to how his handlers treated him.

Keigo flinched, coming out of his flashback slowly. He realized that he was staring at the man before he smiled and nodded, switching out of his stupor into a more settled type. "Alrighty, Yagi! I get it! I'll try to respect that as best as I can."

As soon as Keigo said that the door opened to reveal Aizawa, his disheveled appearance was greeted by both the winged man, and All Might. Both light and chipper, even though one was more hesitant.

Aizawa stepped in to reveal a smaller teen, violet hair wild and gravity-defying. His face was neutral and had what Keigo would call a 'resting bitch face. His eyes widened fractionally when he saw the dirty blond but nodded once out of his surprise.

Shouta Aizawa let out a deep sigh and shut the door before introducing the teen. "Hawks, this is my adopted son, Hitoshi Shinsou. He is also my mentee so expect him to be seen around a lot."

Nodding, Keigo smiled at the teen with a wave, who shyly waved back, before fluttering his wings as the door opened to reveal two other teachers.

One of which was Nemuri Kayama, also known as Midnight. Keigo admired her as a confident person.

The other person was a more popular hero. Present Mic. Cocking his head, Keigo thought about if he had seen his name, which he recalled he hadn't. Smiling, he waved to the two others and both of them eagerly waved back. They did seem to be in civilian clothing, which relieved Keigo.

Keigo found himself sitting at his desk, looking through the files of students aimlessly before his eyes got caught on one of them. Frowning, he opened it and read through it.

'Izuku Midoriya, age: 15. Attending UA high school. Quirk: SuperPower. Time of Activation: April 29, 2xxx'

Shock, immediate shock overwhelmed Keigo. His eyes blew wide while he reread the activation timing over and over. That was...the day of the entrance exam, wasn't it? Midoriya got his quirk...the day of the entrance exam?

Keigo began to twitch. He knew exactly how bad people who had no quirk were treated. The man had heard how the safety commission viewed them. Wastes of space and people who didn't deserve to live. Fortunately, Keigo knew better than that. He believed them to be a very significant society within the hero network. Quirkless civilians were important informants as most were intelligent and swift, they held a good role in the government as well. But most containing that role were deep within it and weren't seen by the public eye.

Looking back, his eyes were beginning to look as if they were spazzing out, reading the three words over and over and over.

"Aizawa, I think you may want to look at this." Keigo called, voice steady considering he could have freaked out. As he called, the man in question was already there. Hearing the stress evident in the tone Hawks had used.

"What is it?" The straggly man asked, eyebrow raised and leaning on the side of the desk.

Without a word, Keigo spun the computer around and pointed to the activation date. "What the hell is this about? Midoriya's quirk was activated on the day of the Entrance Exam?" he asked sincerely.

Yet, Aizawa had not a clue either. His eyes were marginally wider as he stared at the computer. "I don't know... Maybe it was a mistake?" yet his words didn't match his eyes. A sigh exited his lips before he pursed them and looked to Keigo. "Look, it's almost second period and you'll be with me for heroic ethics. Let's go ahead and talk to Nedzu about it after this period. That work?" Aizawa finished, looking bland, yet the only thing that signaled he wasn't calm was the violent shivering of his right hand.

"Got it." as Keigo said that the bell for class sounded. Shrill and straight to the point, making Keigo's hair stand on edge. Yet, he held it together and got up with a stretch. His wings doing the same in the process. He was getting quite tired anyway, so he pushed the upcoming problem to the back of his mind and followed the already walking Aizawa out into the hallway.

Shinsou followed after but soon parted ways once they passed his class. Keigo put on a smile as the two of them entered the loud classroom. unlike last time, it got quiet right away and everyone was already sitting down. Keigo watched as the kids settled in their seats and began to get ready for the ethics class.

Keigo remembered the ethics he took in the Safety Commission. It was brutal, all of his classes were like nightmares as he was forced to pick between killing people and siding with people. He cried the first few times before he hardened his emotions to protect himself. Of course, there were a lot of benefits. He learned crucial thinking and learning that most others wouldn't dare to think of.

A sigh left the man's lips as he thought back to a classmate Keigo recalled, the other was called Falcom and they were trained to be a hero along with Hawks.

Keigo didn't know what happened to them, all he can recall is the handlers told him that they weren't competent enough with the program.

Snapping back to the present, he realized Aizawa had begun talking. His voice became a soothing drone while Keigo leaned against the wall, intently listening to the kids and all of their reactions to the words.

A moment passed, yet the crimson-winged man felt his eyes linger silently on the green-haired kid and he thought back to the news he found. The kid was quirkless for like ten years. In all honesty, Keigo felt himself relate to the kid. Both of them were like each other in many ways. Both were hurt due to their quirks or lack there off, both had minds that thought alike, and the two couldn't process their thoughts due to the fact they were too fast, leading to the muttering problem.

Another sigh left Keigo's lips as he toned back into the discussion. Maybe he would get his answer when he talked to Nedzu.

Notes:

Not sure if I'm going to continue this but I'm getting a lot of motivation suddenly! Have a good day everyone!
