“Oh my god, Ten! What am I supposed to do?!” Chittaphon asked aloud, rummaging through his drawers. “I’ve never been on a date before!”
“Chillax, kiddo.” the voice rang inside his head. It felt like he was right next to him, but he could never be. They were in the same body, after all. “I’m sure Johnny will adore anything you pick.”
Johnny was their collective best friend of about 3 years now. Chittaphon was now 16, just barely getting into the dating world. Johnny had asked him out on his birthday. It was a surprise, to say the least, but Chittaphon could never complain.
Johnny was the nicest person he’d met by far, and certainly one of the most handsome ones as well. He accepted that Chittaphon had DID pretty well, and it was comforting to know someone other than his aunt was there for him. Johnny had never pushed anything and never tried to intentionally make Chittaphon uncomfortable. That was his job as his best friend, after all. To be there through thick and thin and make sure Chittaphon felt safe.
Suddenly, a loud voice rang through their head. Ten and Chittaphon knew exactly who it was, but they sure didn’t want to. “Go away, TNT! You’re not invited!” Ten rolled his eyes, sighing.
“C’mon, love.” TNT cooed at the man, “I wanna see our little Chittaphon grow up and go on his first date!”
Ten pulled his ear, getting a yelp out of the louder. He laughed at him, pulling him into his arms for a light embrace. “Let me go, twerp!” TNT screamed.
The two kept playfully bickering as Chittaphon picked up his best pair of jeans, smiling. “Found them!”
Chittaphon ordered and sank down into his seat, still feeling embarrassed. “Oh my god, dude, I’m so sorry.”
“Don’t worry about it!” Johnny consoled, “I know how it gets, it’s chill.”
“I know.. But I just–”
“Shush.” Johnny laughed, “If anything, blame it on that dog that managed to get in.”
Chittaphon laughed. It was a pretty embarrassing incident, but he had to admit it was kind of funny. Chi-Chi, another alter, had wanted to let a stray dog in the restaurant. Johnny and Chittaphon, of course, said no. Chittaphon tried to wrangle Chi-Chi out of co-front, getting barely any response before the dog ran through the open door of the restaurant and burst into the kitchen.
Chittaphon quickly captured the dog, leading it outside again before apologizing to the staff team about 15 times. They all reassured him that it was okay and it had happened before, but Chittaphon felt like he was going to die of embarrassment.
Now they were here, getting free dinner because Chittaphon had started actually crying, he was that embarrassed earlier. At least the cost wasn’t a problem– not that it was in the first place.
Even with the fiasco, the date went well. Hopefully well enough for a second date, but that was for future them to worry about. They hopped into Johnny’s car and drove home, chattering the whole way home.
Chittaphon really did hope this would last.
