*Eduardo's pov*
I had to constantly reassure Mark that they'll be safe, that I'll never give up on them. It took me a minute to readjust to the dark after running with the light but now I am now more easily able to run in the pitch black.
Thankfully as we ran down the path I was able to see patches of light about 60 feet away which means we're getting close to the neighborhood.
"Edy...?"
"Yes what's wrong?"
"My arm feels odd, like I dunno...like it's healing fast or some shit" I noticed Mark is barely crying now, but I couldn't focus on that right now.
"I..um..." Oh god I don't even know what to say, this whole situation is so horrific that I can barely think.
As we passed the little patches of moonlight, Mark whimpered as if the light hurts, which it probably does as we've been in darkness for quite some time. Then we passed the bigger patch, Mark suddenly screamed in pain-
"FUCK PUT ME DOWN EDY, IT FUCKING HURTS!" They sobbed, I was about to continue running but two things made me place them down. Mark's persistence and patches of blonde on their cheeks.
"What's wrong?! What hurts?!"
"Everything*hic*" Mark hiccups as they held themself, sobbing. Their voice much quieter.
*third pov*
There was another horrendous scream of agony from Mark as they clawed at their shoulders as if the thing was on them again.
"Wait" Eduardo thought, he looked up to see the moon, full and a nice orange color, a perfect moon for the spooky night.
"OH GOD!" He nearly shouts, but managed to keep it in his mind. To Eduardo's realization Mark was bitten by a fucking werewolf of all things! He literally made a joke on how he didn't think were-animals aren't real and this happens! Oh the irony.
"EDY MAKE IT STOP PLEASE!" Brought him out of his scared trance, Mark's arms seemed longer as they curled up, from what edy could tell they grew a damn tail and their shoes ripped, revealing hind paws.
Eduardo knew he couldn't do anything to stop the transformation as it was too late, they were already exposed to the moonlight.
Oh god, what is Edy supposed to do? His partner's transforming right in front of his eyes. He could only watch in horror as Mark's clothes tear and rip loudly, nearly blending in with the screams, sobbing and whimpering.
Their face contorted into something more wolf like, howling in pain. Jeez can Mark get a break?
But finally.
Finally after what seemed like all night, both Mark and Eduardo collapsed, very drained emotionally and Mark's transformation was complete. Eduardo put his face in his hands just to realizes he was crying, but he couldn't feel embarrassed from how exhausted he was. Then something touched his leg, Edy looked to see Mark in his new form, looking at him with the same look as he expressed, except for a tired smile, they crawled over close enough to him without Edy realizing. Their arms being much longer now probably helped with that.
"Mark?" He got onto his knees and walked over to his love.
"S-surprised to see you crying E-Edy" Mark is the type of person to try to make every situation better no matter the state their in by making a joke or silly statement. Even if they just went through one of the worst things imaginable.
"Don't give a fuck about me, you're the one hurt....and I know I've already asked you a few times but...are you ok?"
"I feel a lot better, but are you ok?" Mark held the other's face with a giant paw.
"I...um...I dunno" Eduardo holds their hand, he never really knew how to express how he feels.
"I bet your as tired as me, huh?" Edy nods.
"We need to get home before we worry the hell outta Jon and Todd" Mark chuckles, getting up and using a tree as leverage.

*Mark's pov*
The two of us get to the road our home's on, thankfully it was all quiet, no people in sight and and our neighbor's were asleep for once as they tend to stay up. And for the good 20 something minutes walk home I've been using Eduardo as a support as there weren't that many trees no more and I couldn't really walk well with my legs literally being like a wolf's.
"I swear to god I hope Jon and Todd aren't up" edy prayed under his breath, then I got an idea.
"Maybe I can hear if they are or aren't" he nods so I press my ear against the door, thankfully I hear snoring, I wait for anymore noise and heard a quieter snore following the louder one. Jon and Todd seem to be asleep.
I gave Eduardo the go and he ever so slowly unlocks and opens the door before peeping in. A relief sigh came out before he did that gesture that means either follow me or come over.
"Follow me but stay quiet, their right there" sure enough Jon and Todd were asleep on the couch with our dog, Bingo sitting in Todd's lap and staring at us with a fury of a tiny dog that just saw an intruder. Well fuck Bingo doesn't seem to recognize me.
Bingo may usually not be a threat as he is a tiny poodle chihuahua mix but here's the thing, he is loud and he's growling which is causing Todd to stir in his sleep.
"Oi keep that loud mouth shut ya mutt or no milk bones for a week" Bingo immediately shut up thank God, though milk bones seem oddly appetizing right now. Maybe I'll snatch one in the morning before I make breakfast in the morning.
Eduardo grabs what remain of my sleeve and leads me to the stairs before wrapping my arms around his shoulders, he then helps me get up the stairs with little apologies everytime I slip a bit.
Then-
"Guys please be quiet" was slurred behind us, we slowly look back to see Jon turning around before laying back down, and Bingo is still staring at us with anger in his beady eyes. We sighed, happy Jon seemed to be annoyed by the creaky as fuck stairs and that he didn't see me like how I am right now.
"So do you wanna sleep by yourself or with me?"
"I wouldn't mind some cuddling if your up to it" Eduardo chuckles and gave me a kiss on the side of my snout. He opened the door to my room.
"Ok get on hun" he mumbles as he gently moved my arms off him and I climb in bed, the wood creaking under my weight, Edy then joins me and we honestly didn't give a fuck about the crusty dried blood that stuck to us.
Hey baby?" I heard Edy mutter.
"Yes my love?"
"I love you, good night"
"Hehe i love you too and good night"
