Derek got up first. “Come on pretty boy!” He shook Reid awake, “JJ and Prentiss are expecting us!”
“It’s too early!” Spencer whined as Derek threw off his sheets. “You're putting those back on.”
“Fine, but hurry!”
Together they snuck over to the other room. Derek knocked on the door, but Spencer was closer, ready to fall into one of their beds.
“Finally! Get in here!” JJ grabbed them both and tugged them in. “We’ve been waiting for so long!”
“It was only half an hour JJ.”
She and Emily shared a look. “A very long half hour!”
“Hey, don’t blame me! Reid didn’t want to get up.” They all turned to their bed headed genius.
“An average adult needs at least 6 hours of sleep to function well. As professional agents, we should get at least 7 hours of good sleep.”
“Whatever you say kid.” Morgan dismissed him with a wave. “Now what was it that you wanted?”
Emily threw a pillow to each of the boys, and gestured for them to sit on the beds with them. “That guy, Palacio! He and Hotch are definitely going to have some sort of tension, have you seen the way he acts?”
“What? No way!” Reid exclaimed. “He and Hotch might not be the best match but he’s not going to annoy Hotch!”
“He’s not going to annoy Hotch. Did you see Hotch today? He definitely has a crush on the new kid.”
“Yeah! If anything, I bet they’d bang tonight if not for Rossi being in the same room.” J.J. and Emily started making predictions.
“I bet they wouldn't last a month.” Emily said.
J.J. smiled. “Not even a full month, probably 3 weeks.”
Morgan interrupted. “I don’t think we should be making bets about our superior’s dating life, you guys.”
Reid hummed and joined in. “I bet it’ll take at most 4 cases.”
“What makes you say that?” Emily asked.
“Well, in this case, Hotch figures out he likes Palacio. Between the next cases, he’ll try to reason out his feelings. During the next case, he’ll accept his feelings. Knowing him, the time between the second and third case, he'll be in love with Palacio. During the third case, he’ll try to subtly show his affections, hoping Palacio will catch on and ask him first. Palacio will probably be oblivious or won’t ask him first. The fourth case will be spent with Hotch trying to ask him out. Palacio will either say yes or no, so we’ll get our answer by then.”
“Wow.”
J.J. nodded. “Yeah, that checks out.”
“Alright, it’s getting pretty late, we should head back.” Morgan got up.
“Noooo.” Reid cried from under a pile of pillows he had collected.
“Come on!”
“Fine.”
