Chapter Text
Ah, bowling. Such a nice game among friends. Where buddies can chill out, show off, maybe get a drink or two.
…
God, this sucks.
Turns out that my blind date couldn’t come tonight. Apparently, she caught a really bad cold and couldn’t join us.
Oh well, that meant more games for us, I guess.
I sat to the side, awkwardly sipping on an already diluted Cola as I watched Dennis and his girlfriend May talk to each other, occasionally laughing at probably a terrible joke made by Dennis. The two were really sweet and affectionate with one another. I was almost envious. Or it was probably me being uncomfortable. I looked up at the old screen at our scores and couldn’t help but frown.
I’ll admit it, I was never good at bowling. Probably why Dennis wanted us to go; so I could be properly called out for my lack of skill in the sport. Then he could show off to his girlfriend all the fancy tricks he learned from his mom. I didn’t care, though. I knew I sucked at it. I sat my cup down and got up, quietly escaping the couple and making my way outside.
I needed a smoke.
I stepped out of the bowling alley and made my way to the side of the building, rummaging around in my pocket before taking out a box of cigarettes and lighter. With quick ease, I placed the addictive tobacco in my mouth and lit it, taking in a long breath before letting out a large cloud of smoke escape my mouth. Feeling my body relaxed, I leaned against the rough brick wall, feeling my anxieties and fears almost roll off my shoulders.
Honestly, they most likely won’t know I’m gone. I was notoriously known for scaring the crap out of people because of how quietly I entered and exited rooms. So, I'll just be in and out. Simple as that.
After about a few minutes or so, I tossed down the cigarette butt and stepped on it, snuffing it out.
“Guess, I should head back inside.” I mumbled to myself. I begrudgingly began to push myself off the wall, I noticed something. The wall didn’t feel solid. In fact, it felt like nothing was there. The once rough support on my back vanished as I fell backwards, desperately trying to grab something to hold on to, with no avail. So, I braced for impact.
Only to feel something soft..?
I blinked and squinted at first, letting my eyes get used to the sudden change in brightness. I sat up from what I realized was damp carpet and scrambled to where I fell, seeing if I could go back. Only to feel the hard wall and peeling wallpaper.
I couldn’t think.
Panic consumed me.
I couldn't think.
I couldn't breathe.
Where the fuck was I?!
