A Stream of Emotions

Chapter 5: Pimp My Stream

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Dakota had a pretty normal night, sleeping alongside Cavendish always felt nice and having his partner wake him up was always a treat. It hasn’t been on the terms that Dakota would like, but that didn’t really matter much. He’s still his best friend and he would never give that away, not after what he’s done for him now, getting him his new computer and letting him start his streaming journey.

Vinnie himself was looking for something to make his streams better, as he had no layout for the game, or how his camera would work (if he didn’t forget to turn it on this time) in the stream design, so he figured that he could go ahead and ask the people that introduced him to the whole experience in the first place.

He knocked on Milo’s door in search of the boy. “Yo Milo! You there!?”

“Coming!” Said the brunette teen with a joyful voice as he came down the stairs happily to answer the doorbell.

“Oh, hey Dakota, how are ya doing?” Milo asked with a smile.

“Hey Milo. I’m doin’ good, what about you?”

“Oh I was just helping mom organizing our insurances papers. We have to deal a lot with Murphy’s Law so we have to keep track of each one and make sure that we can use them whenever we need them. It would be pretty bad to wreck our car and not have any car insurance while being stuck in the desert, hehe.”

“I getcha. Well, I hope I ain’t interrupting or anything, if I am I could just comeback a bit later.” Dakota suggested while cocking his head.

“Oh no no, it’s okay. I was almost done and I was gonna take a lunch break anyway. What brings ya here though? Did you wanna hang out with me? Or did you end up taking another baby giraffe alongside you again?”

“Hey! It was lost, I had to keep it safe. Besides, it wouldn’t hurt to keep one for a bit.”

“Haha, yeah… They’re pretty great.” Milo smirked at the memory with fondness, remembering how he had to infiltrate to the zoo while it was closed to leave the giraffe on its cage.

“Yeah… Anyway, what I wanted to ask ya was if you could hook me up with somebody that knew about designs. I wanted to have a stream layout for my streams and I kinda need somebody that can handle that. I would like to look nice and for it to scream… Dakota, y’know?”

“Design stuff? Like graphic design?”

“Yeah! That kind of stuff, you got anybody?” Dakota placed his hands in his hip, hoping that Milo would have someone that could help him, as he wouldn’t want Cavendish to spend any more money and he wouldn’t want to keep his viewers waiting for the next stream for so long.

“Yeah, my girlfriend Amanda could help ya out! She’s really good at graphic design. She did the pamphlet for the school dance and for our band. She’s also a great cook and overall a great girl. I really like her.” Then the teenager proceeded to blush and rub the back of his head.

“Wait… I think I actually got her number in my contacts.”

“Really? How?”

“I… Don’t remember, long story, you would rather not know. I’ll try to give her a call and see if she’ll be able to handle my stream layout, if that’s fine with ya.”

“Go ahead, it’s not like she would be uncomfortable with it. She likes to help out friends whenever she can.”

With Milo’s blessing, Dakota tapped the button in his phone to call the teenager, waiting for her to pick up.

“Hello?” She answered with curiosity.

“Hey Amanda… How ya… Doin’?” Dakota asked awkwardly.

“I’m… Doing good… Who are you?”

“It’s… Uh… Dakota. Remember?”

“Oh! Dakota! I’m so happy to hear you call me again!” She responded with enthusiasm, with  Dakota knitting an eyebrow and looking at Milo, who just shrugged with a smile.

“I didn’t get to thank you for the fireworks that you and Cavendish delivered to the concert. Everything worked out so well that day and my relationship got closer with Milo in that day.” She voiced with a smile present in her face.

“Well… That’s great Amanda. I’m happy that I was able to help ya out, hehe.” The brunette scratched the back of his head, somewhat embarrassed of not being able to remember what he actually did to get those fireworks, or how he got Amanda’s phone number in the first place.

“I just had to ask ya about a small thing though… A solid for a solid.”

“Really? And what could that be?”

“Well…” Vinnie stopped himself for a brief moment, giving Milo another glance for reassurance. The teen gave him a thumbs up and a beam, letting him have enough confidence to tell Amanda what he needed. “I’m kinda startin’ to be a streamer and I kinda needed a stream overlay, somethin’ for people to know what my style is and such. Could you be able to handle that?”

“Oh that sounds so fun! I can totally handle your stream overlay Dakota. I actually made Milo’s layout and it was relatively easy to do. There are a lot of templates what we could try to start with first, then you let me know if you like any of them. If you don’t we can make one from scratch or search for other templates, whatever you might need.”

“Man, that sounds so easy to do already! This is gonna be a piece of cake to take care of. If you need me to give ya anything just let me know so I can get the money ready.”

“Oh no no no! It’s for you Dakota, you’re one of Milo’s friends and also one of mine. I wouldn’t want to charge for something like this when it’s this simple. Besides, it also works out for me as practice for designing.”

“Are ya sure? I don’t wanna take advantage of ya just ‘cause we’re…”

“Dakota seriously. It’s fine, I promise.”

Hearing the confirmation that Dakota’s request is not too taxing and that she girl would be happy to do it made him relax quite a bit. He took Amanda’s word by granted and continued.

“Alright. So where are we meetin’ up?”

“We can meet up at my house, since that’s where most of my things are, maybe you can bring Cavendish around and let him see what your stream is gonna look like.” The girl suggested.

“Nah, I don’t think he would be that interested in this kind of stuff. I also think he’s takin’ care of work stuff, so it’s probably better I don’t disturb him.”

“Okay then. I’ll be waiting for you Dakota, I’m gonna send you my address. Take your time. I’m gonna make sure you have the best overlay that I can offer.”

Amanda then hung up, with Dakota jumping excitedly. “Yes! She’s gonna do my overlay!”

“See? I told you she could do it!” Milo replied with his arms raised with glee.

The duo waited for the girl’s address to arrive, Dakota unconsciously counted every single second, staring at the screen and waiting for the message to arrive, as the excitement completely took over him. He wanted to get there as soon as possible and get to make his overlay for his stream.

He got Amanda’s info and began to make his way to her house, singing a variation of his iconic zoo song while he did so.

“I’m walkin’ through the street, I’m walkin’ through the street, and then I’m gonna meet up with Amandaaaa.” He sang along with his fingers moving left and right, eager to see the teenager as well as what she can do with her designer skills.

Before he knew it, he had just arrived to Amanda’s home. It seemed like all the other homes he had seen before from this area, mostly gray with a few touches of brown thanks to the wood and marble that were used for the construction of the house.

The thing that was different however was that their door was pink, something that the other houses didn’t really have. It was probably painted over a long time ago when the girl arrived to town.

Dakota rang the doorbell and waited for somebody to open the door, whistling and moving his feet up and down with his hands behind his back.

The door was opened and the pink wearing adolescent appeared.

“Hi Dakota, glad to see you made it! You took way less time than I thought you would.”

“Hehe. I didn’t even notice when I made it here. I was busy singin’ something. Can I come in?”

“Please! Make yourself comfortable.” She smiled and made way for Dakota to enter, with the brunette being able to see what was inside Amanda’s home.

He caught a glimpse of the living room, having some coaches lying around for a good amount of people to sit around and watch the TV with, one that was apparently a model from 3 years ago, as well as having a paisley patterned carpet on the floor.

Vinnie whistled at the sight, as he honestly wished he could get a house that looked this nice and clean. He does have his own home and such and he’s very happy with it, but there’s always that desire of wanting to have more, just a little bit more.

“Nice house you got here Amanda. I really like the red carpet. It looks pretty good with the floor and the couches.”

“Hehe, thanks.” The girl smiled at the compliment, then signaled to the stairs with her finger. “Let’s go upstairs, that’s where my room is.”

“All right.”

The duo began to make their way to the stairs and while Dakota was climbing them up, he noticed that there was a bench of shoes close to the front door. They really seemed to like having their home be clean and well organized.

In just a few more steps, Dakota was upstairs with Amanda taking the lead and opening the door to her room.

It was colored in a pastel pink, having tons of journals and a bulletin board. Her room was quite organized as well and she even had a few plants in there. A small cactus, a poinsettia and an orange colored flower that Dakota had never seen before.

“Wow, your room is so tidy Amanda. It’s really clean.”

“Thank you Dakota. I tend to care a lot about my room and keeping things in order. It can be hard to do so sometimes.”

“I wanted to ask ya though, what’s this flower? Never seen this one before.” *He began to approach the flower with orange accents.

“Oh, that’s a cempasuchil flower. It’s pretty prevalent in México, we associate a lot with the day of the dead. I honestly love how soft and wonderful it looks. My grandma sent me a few of them last year and I have kept them nice and pretty ever since.”

“Wow… I didn’t know all that bein’ honest. Day of the dead is pretty cool though. I’ve heard and read things about it and it’s always nice to remember the people that you loved, even when they aren’t here anymore.”

Suddenly, it hit him like a truck. The thoughts and memories of the many times Cavendish had died. How it could happen so suddenly and how powerless he now was thanks to not having a time machine to go back to. He frowned at the idea of losing Cavendish forever and Amanda noticed the brunette’s expression.

“Hey… I know it’s rough, but everybody lives on as long as you remember them. That goes for anybody that remembers that person. It is why we hold it every year as an important tradition.”

“Y-yeah… thanks Amanda. Sorry to bring down the mood.”

“It’s okay, really. How about we start working on your layout to cheer you up? Does that sound good?”

“Yeah.” He sniffed a little bit, and then made his way towards Amanda’s computer. The girl took her seat and booted up the device.

“So, what kind of aesthetic were you thinking of for your stream Dakota? Are you a webcam streamer? Would you like to have the stream chat show up?”

“I really like to interact with the chat, so having a webcam screen is something I must have. Same for the stream chat. How are people gonna know I’m actually interacting with the stream if I can’t see it?” He grinned enthusiastically, and then he began to think of the aesthetic itself.

“Hmmm… I wanted to have some animal themed stuff. I don’t know exactly what just yet, but I wanted it to be kinda if you went to a zoo, or if you were in an expedition at the heart of a jungle. Somethin’ that just reminds you of animals, vegetation, Tarzan, I dunno.”

“That doesn’t sound difficult to do. It should be pretty easy, but we’re gonna see what ends up being perfect for ya, okay?”

“Okay. The journey’s gonna be just as fun as the destination. I love talking about animals.”

The teen giggled briefly at Dakota, finding his comment to be endearing. “Alrighty then. Let’s start with something simple.”

She opened up her drawing program and she pulled out her stylus, beginning to draw on the screen right in front of her, making the device itself detect her traces. It was as if she was drawing on a piece of paper within a digital screen.

“Wow! Now that’s somethin’ I’m more familiar with. I didn’t know you guys had this type of tech already.” Dakota mentioned while he leaned closer to get a better look.

“Yeah, it’s rather recent but it’s pretty useful to work with. It has made people’s lives a lot easier. I can’t even imagine how the future has done that with their tech.”

“It’s honestly a lot, way too much to mention and some things I don’t even understand. Cav could explain to you a lot more things about that.” Dakota scratched his head, looking slightly into the ceiling.

“Maybe I’ll ask him about it someday. I would love to hear what the future is like.” Amanda responded while she kept working on the computer.

After a few more minutes of work, she finally finished the first layout for Dakota.

It was a layout that mostly relied on vines to make the up the squares for each specific part of the stream. Dakota’s face camera, the chat, notifications, with an off stream image of vines filling the screen and having some type of juice make up the letters for OFFLINE.

“There you go, hopefully you end up liking this one.” Amanda looked back at Dakota while resting her hands on her lap.

“Hmmm… I do like the vines and such, but I don’t think it really screams me. Yeah it’s animal stuff but it feels rather generic.” Dakota pointed out as he supported his chin with his fist, inspecting the aforementioned layout.

“Well, it was mostly based on something that was done by someone else. I tried to change it up a bit to fit your description, but you might be right. I could try to come up with something else using Milo’s setup as a base. How does that sound?”

“Yeah, that could work out.” Dakota said with a smile as he saw the Mexican girl change her focus once more into the screen.

Amanda herself began to work more and more into the style, this time around going for something different but still related to Dakota’s request. She ended up drawing some dinosaurs and more prehistoric looking fauna for the stream aesthetic, as she figured that maybe the brunette would like dinosaurs. With only a couple of minutes passing by, Amanda was able to finish.

“There you go.” She smiled at Dakota and moved herself alongside the chair away from the screen in order to let Dakota get a proper look. “What do you think? Do you like it?”

Dakota gave it a good look, seeing the dinosaur on the left, some vegetation surrounding the stream layout and even the letters being made out of bones. Although quite the good looking aesthetic, it’s not really what Dakota’s looking for.

“Man… This is some really good stuff, but it’s not exactly what I was looking for either…” He frowned at the girl, feeling guilty of not liking enough what she’s done so far.

“Oh…” She frowned too, disappointment present in her face. “Sorry. I didn’t think it was gonna be this hard…”

“Hey, it ain’t your fault. I didn’t particularly tell ya what I wanted in the first place, just some vague ideas, so it’s normal that you couldn’t figure it out just with that alone.” Dakota smiled apologetically, while also thinking of something more concrete for his stream design.

“Hmmm… Let me think… What’s somethin’ that I love and that people wouldn’t mind looking at…? He considered various options… A beach aesthetic or maybe a stream layout set out on the rain… A volcanic look perhaps?

“Oh! I got it!” Dakota exclaimed with a smile. “How ‘bout makin’ it giraffe themed? Like, the spots from the giraffe could be the background, and it could change colors slowly. Maybe have some things like the transitions to other screens or somethin’ be with my glasses. Stuff like that! Could that work out?” He approached the girl with enthusiasm, waiting for her reaction.

“Sure! I have no problem giving this another go. Now that we got something less vague to work with, I’m sure I’ll be able to get right this time!” She answered with the same amount of enthusiasm as Dakota, now beginning to work on Dakota’s request.

The borders for the screens were made as if they were the metal tube used for a metal fence, with some vegetation growing over it, the backgrounds and stream chat window had giraffe spots on them. The background intro and outro would change colors on intervals of five seconds, letting it have a dynamic look that is pleasant to the eyes. The transition itself is now an emoji of Dakota’s face with his hair and sunglasses, giving a confident smile and rolling onto the screen.

“Wow! Look at me go!” Dakota said ecstatic, seeing the small little graphic move as Amanda showed it off.

“I’m glad you’re liking it so far Dakota. Making the emoji was super fun. Your hair is so fluffy and your glasses are iconic. I hope your stream also ends up loving the new aesthetic!” The Mexican girl replied with a beam, very confident of her work.

“Seriously, thanks Amanda. Whatever you might need just let me know, I really owe ya one.”

“Don’t worry about that Dakota. It’s a gift for you, you don’t owe me anything. I will be sending you these to your phone so you can start using them on your computer and setting it up. I’m sure you’ll be able to figure it out on your own. If not, just give me a call and I’ll give you a quick rundown. Does that sound good?”

“Yeah! That’s perfect. It shouldn’t be too hard to get that whole thing ready for my stream today, although if it takes me too long then I’ll just stream tomorrow.” After having finished his sentence, Dakota pulled out his phone so that Amanda could start to send the graphics of the stream layout to him, with him getting giddy just by looking at them on his screen. He really was super happy to have something like this. It felt like a win even if he didn’t make them on his own, they were his designs and ideas after all.

With that done, the brunette gave his goodbye to the girl and walked his way home. He noticed that he came outside the house at 6PM, so he most likely missed his time to have dinner alongside Cavendish, which was a bummer, but maybe he could have more room to eat, or get himself a little treat without Cavendish noticing. It doesn’t hurt to eat a chocolate bar after a hard day of work.

He came back home, waiting to see Cavendish resting on the sofa reading a book or doing something else. What he saw instead was the Brit waiting on the table, with his hand resting on his cheek, bored and somewhat impatient.

“There you are! Where were you Dakota!? I was waiting for you this entire time to come back!” The Brit complained at his partner, crossing his arms with a pout.

“Oh… right.” He raised his finger slightly, noticing how he had completely forgotten about Cavendish. “I’m sorry Cav. I was spendin’ time with Amanda. She was givin’ me a new stream layout and time kinda flew by.”

“Amanda? Like, Milo’s… girlfriend?” The Brit furrowed his brows.

“Yeah, that one. Since I was checkin’ on my phone who I could contact, I saw that I still had her number in there and Milo told me that she was really good with design and all of that stuff, so he hooked up with her and things went pretty nicely. Now I got my whole layout and I just need to get some time and configure all the images where they are meant to go.”

“Well… I am quite happy for you Dakota, but please, do try to give me a call every once in a while if you’re gonna be out. I was starting to worry!” Cavendish lamented, while Dakota took a seat at the table and gave him a nod.

“Yeah, my bad. I’ll try to give ya a call whenever I can next time, I promise.” Dakota tried to look around for their meal, thinking that it was already done.

“Soo… Where’s the food?”

“We’re gonna have to make it ourselves you dolt. I didn’t want to do it by myself yet because… I like doing it with you and you seem to handle soup better than I can.” The Brit confessed with his arms crossed, looking to the other side with a pout.

“Oooww… Cav… okay then. I’ll help ya out with makin’ our dinner, then I can start getting my stream layout setup. Deal?”

“Deal.” Then the two began to do their dinner. It was grilled cheese with homemade tomato soup. Quite the simple meal but very tasty and cheap.

As Cavendish was eating the cheese, chunks of it got stuck in his mustache, making Dakota snicker while looking at him.

“Kik…”

“What is so funny Dakota? Do I have something on my face? Hmm?” Balthazar asked with a softly demanding attitude.

“You got cheese on your stache Cav.” He signaled with his finger and Cavendish glanced over.

“Oh, well that’s rather unfortunate.” He got hold of a napkin and proceeded to pass it over his mustache, finally getting rid of the chunks of food. “There we go.”

“Y’know… I never noticed that even though you’re so classy and fancy about eatin’, you sometimes get your clothes or face dirty. Not even the fork and knife can save ya from getting a little messy sometimes.” Dakota smiled while eating another bite of his dinner.

“Oh please! I have way better manners than you at the table. I once saw you eating soup with your bare hands! It was so revolting.” He shook his head in disappointment.

“That might be right Cav, but that doesn’t excuse ya from lettin’ yourself a little loose. We kinda tend to have a good time doing that don’t we?”

“Yes, we do have a good time spending time together. Going that ditch day was quite the experience. I got to do things that I never had tried before, like going go-karting, or doing bungee jumps. You did the most ridiculous poses I could imagine however…” He raised an eyebrow.

“Hey, I was going up and down, I had to make some poses! It’s like jumping on a trampoline, but backwards!”

The Brit could only help but roll his eyes, then he decided to talk once more. “Either way, it was a fun day. I do wonder however if Mr.Block would let us have a ditch day like that one…”

“You kiddin’!? That guy is so lame. He wouldn’t even let us have a break of an hour for lunch! Just time travelin’ left and right.”

“Dakota, I mean the Mr.Block from this time.” He furrowed his brows.

“Oooohh… right, yeah. I think he could let us off the hook here and there. He gave us a bit of time when he first hired us, so he would probably be fine with a ditch day.”

“Perhaps you may be right, it wouldn’t hurt to ask would it?” He gently voiced with a beam.

“Haha yeah, maybe we could actually go inside a museum or do some scuba divin’ next time we do a ditch day, anything to have a good time.” Dakota then took a bite out of his meal, thinking of the various things he could do with his friend, even some thoughts that aren’t exactly “friendly” but something more, making him blush a little.

Hehe… yeah… that ain’t happenin’ any time soon but man that would be awesome.

“Say Dakota, would it ever be okay with you if I joined one of your streams at some point? Just watching on my own device and nothing else.” Cavendish asked while taking a sip of his glass of water.

“You… joinin’ the streams?” The brunette considered, going back onto his hair and supporting his head with his fist. “Not really, I mean, I don’t end up playin’ anything violent or saying anything that you would find bad or uncomfortable. Got nothin’ to hide, so yeah. I wouldn’t mind seeing ya join the fun.”

“That is splendid then. I will join the stream whenever I can and give you emotional support Dakota.” He took another sip of his soup, while Dakota finished his plate and was ready to leave.

“Aaahh… That was so good. Simple’s always great for eatin’. You can never go wrong with cheese and tomatoes.” He got up from his chair and was beginning to head out towards his room.

Vinnie was interrupted however by the sound of a cough; he turned around to see where the sound came from.

“Ehem…” Cavendish scolded with his glare, staring at the plates that were not in the sink.

“Oh, sorry.” Dakota went back and picked up the dishes, putting them in the sink and even washing them before he left and headed to his room.

After having taken care of the dishes, Dakota took a seat on his room and booted up the computer. He went ahead and got the images that Amanda had sent him, transferred them to his computer and opened up his streaming program.

“Okay, now… to set up these babies up.” He clapped his hands together, rubbing them and placing his right hand on the mouse, looking at the screen with nothing coming into his mind. It seemed like he didn’t quite know how to even start. He knew where each design went, but he didn’t have a single idea of where to click, where to drag his designs into and how to make it look presentable.

“Hmm… this whole thing is kinda complicated, so maybe it would be a good idea to setup my camera properly this time.” Vinnie rationalized as he spotted a plus button on the program. He read through the options until he saw one that said: Video Capture Device. He clicked on it and it brought up a window with various options, but he went with the simplest ones that the program could offer to see if it would even pick up anything.

Fortunately, it did. Now Dakota was able to see himself completely in the program itself. He gave himself a smirk and a wave; “Hiiii!” His camera was now finally and running with no real issue. He also began to play around with the size of the window, seeing how small or big he could make it, tinkering with it like if he was playing with an artifact from the future but way more primitive than what he was already used to.

For the moment, he kept it small in order to not distract himself from seeing more of the program’s options, as he still needed to find out how to get his designs to display properly in the computer.

It appeared to be that the plus symbol had most of the options that Dakota was looking for and surely enough; he was able to figure out where to get each thing. For example, with this knowledge he was able to get the border for his camera to be working properly and the images for his background and stream chat, which were appropriately the giraffe spots that Amanda had made.

He even setup a scene transition between his gaming screen and full view webcam screen! What was the problem now however is that he didn’t know how to configure his background to change colors to give that small bit of flare he wanted to have. Maybe a bit more of experimenting could help out? But he didn’t really know much about this kind of thing, he was good with time travel and future technology, but anything that is more advanced than retro consoles but less advanced than what the future provided? It was hard to figure out.

Maybe he could ask someone else… someone that’s already around the house. “Hey, Cav! Wanna help me out with my stream layout stuff?” He got up and opened the door, asking from the door frame.

The British man peeked onto the door, seeing the brunette with a smile. “So, you want my aid with your setup?”

“Yup, if you can but if you can’t that’s also okay. It would just take me more time to figure it out.”

“Well, maybe it would be good to help you out Dakota. Bonding together tends to be a great experience as a whole and I don’t mind doing so.” Cavendish responded, going over to the room and taking a brief look at the whole arrangement of devices, software and the shorter man sitting on the chair.

“It’s just that I’m wantin’ to figure out where or how I can make my background change colors slowly while the stream’s going on.”

“Aha… let me take a look.” Balthazar said while staring at the computer, fully focused on figuring out a way to make the colors change. Dakota stepped out of his chair and gave it to Cavendish, who gracefully took a sit, lifting his cocktails and letting his bottom rest on the fabric.

“Oh, well this is quite comfy.” He snuggled on the chair; having a pleasant look in his face and making Dakota have a small giggle. “What’s so funny?” He asked him with a grin hidden beneath his mustache.

“Oh nothin’. I just thought you would already know about how comfortable the gaming chair was, you selected it after all.” He leaned his arm on the top of the piece of furniture, giving Cavendish a cheeky smirk.

“Well yes, I did. But it was only with my hand, passing it through the fabric and to see how it felt. It was indeed comfortable but I never really took a seat on it. It was meant for you and I thought it would be incredibly inconsiderate if I was the one to rest on it first.” Cavendish bemoaned, crossing his arms with a bit of indignation.

“Ok ok I got it Cav.” Dakota snickered, then actually started to pay attention to what Cavendish was doing as he was now beginning to interact with the layout.

“You did most of this configuration by yourself Dakota?” Cavendish inquired with his tone showing surprise, he wasn’t expecting Dakota to handle all of this by himself. Not that he doubted his partner of course, rather it’s that he was able to adapt to a technology that was more private than what they had been used to in the future relatively easily.

“Yeah, the options were a lot more straight forward than I thought they would be. Messin’ around got me pretty far, but now I’m stuck in getting the colors of the background to change every few seconds.”

“I see, well that shouldn’t be too hard to figure out now, should it?” The British man smiled with confidence, beginning to touch the various options and see which one would be the appropriate option.

In a matter of moments, Cavendish had been able to configure the software to showcase just what Dakota wanted for his background, making it cycle through various colors within two seconds.

“There we go, here you have it Dakota.” The older man unoccupied the chair and made a pose offering Dakota the chair, with the brunette taking his seat back once more and checking what his friend had done.

“Oh my god, this looks awesome! It’s exactly what I wanted! Thank you so much Cavendish!” He looked back at the Brit with a wide smile. “Well, what are friends for?” He placed his hands behind his back and gave him a playful shrug, responding with the same type of smile.

“If you don’t need anything else, I will return to my duties. I need to take care of our taxes, as a little someone forgot to do them this time around.” Cavendish then proceeded to walk away from Dakota. “Hey, I’ve been tryin’ out this whole streaming deal, I got distracted all right?” Dakota chuckled.

“Don’t worry, I’ll handle it, you go ahead and have fun, all right?” “Okay, seriously… thank you Cavendish. You’re like, the best.” Vinnie turned himself slightly to see Cavendish leave, making sure he got that last part.

“Stop it, you’re making me blush.” Balthazar replied and then left, leaving Dakota alone.

“Okay, now it’s time for another stream. I got my whole layout done and I still got time to play some games. Let’s do it!” And so, he pushed the button to go live, ready to entertain anybody that happens to drop by.

Notes:

Helloooooooooooooooo everyone. This fic is finally back with a new chapter. Sorry I took SO damn long, but I got distracted by a few things, new games, hanging out with friends and what not, but at least I was able to come back with a new piece. I really hope all of you enjoyed this part. Next one will be about Dakota doing a proper stream again, thank you for your patience. I'm also currently working on rewriting previous chapters of my other fic: New Frontier as I felt they could be improved on and writing it in past tense would make it easier to write for. Either way, thanks again!

Notes:

This is my first collab ever, as Juse and I vibed a lot with the idea of Dakota being a streamer, so we really hope you guys end up enjoying what we have in store!
