A month had passed and [Y/N] had settled down well. Yukio was still in confusion as to why she is special. As for Rin, he got alot closer to her. You could say they are best friends.
“Hey Rin! You asleep?” [Y/N] asked in a whisper tone.
“Not anymore.” Rin said as he got up.
He was rubbing the sleep out his eyes, [Y/ N] sat beside the bed waiting till he had woken up a bit.
“What’s wrong?” Rin asked.
“Uhm I couldn’t sleep, so i thought you maybe wanted to go on a walk with me?” She asked with a tilted head.
“Yeah sure let me just change real quick.”
She nodded and left. She waited for him at the entrance of the dormitory.
Rin yawned as he went to her.
They walked awhile with [Y/N] leading them. The walk was around 15 minutes until they arrived. It was a garden, with all kinds of flowers. There was a pond in the middle, little fish were swimming there. Rin was amazed by the place. There was one bench standing there. It looked old and rusty. [Y/N] went to sit on the bench and gestured for Rin to sit next to him. He did.
“So why did you want to come here?” Rin asked looking at the stars.
[Y/N] was fidgeting with her fingers. “I couldn’t sleep and thought why not go for a walk, i thought you might like to go with me.”
“Well maybe we can ask each other questions?” Rin proposed.
“Yeah sure! I’ll start, what do you like to do in your free time?”
“Hmmm i would say cooking or reading manga.” He said with a big smile. “Alright my turn! Why did you come to True Cross?”
“Well uh… I guess because my parents said so.”
The questions went on like this until [Y/N] asked a specific question, wich shocked Rin a bit.
“Uh Rin..” she said
“Yeah?” He said with wide eyes.
“How is mr. Fujimoto doing?” She asked out of the blue.
“Huh? You knew him?”
“Well yeah kinda.”
“He, died…” Rin said looking to his lap.
“He… Died?” She repeated. Tears forming in her eyes.
Rin looked up to see her tears, they were streaming like a waterfall. A few sniffles interrupting between. She froze to her spot, was this real? Rin was confused in this situation. Without thinking he gave her a big hug.
“I’m sorry.” He whispered.
She hugged him back tightly. Crying on his shoulder. This went on for atleast 20 minutes, until they decided to go back to the dormitory.
Rin carried her on his back, she quickly fell asleep like that.
“I missed you Rin.” She murmured in her sleep.
“What?” Rin looked at her confused. But didn’t think much of it.
Next day.
“Since summerbreak is starting you will all go on a exam camp!” Yukio said while we were at the front gate.
Everyone sounded happy except for [Y/N]. She wasn’t into group things.
Once arriving at the spot they were going to camp, the girls had to make a safe circle and the boys set up a tent. Afterwards the girls had to cook, wich went terribly wrong. So Rin took over, after about an hour of him cooking everyone sat by the fire eating the food.
“Wow this is delicious!!” Konekomura said.
“Atleast he can cook.” Yukio said smiling.
“Would be great husband material.” [Y/N] said while everyone laughed at her words. Except Rin he looked sort of pissed.
“Don’t go crying sweety.” She teased Rin.
Rin just shook his head in annoyance. A few hours passed of them having a great time, then it was time to go and start the mission.
“Alright everyone understood?” Yukio said.
They needed to get 3 laterns back at the campsite. Once succeeded they had passed.
After about an hour of wandering
[Y/N] found one of the lanterns, along with the guy with the puppet. With some teamwork they managed to get back to the campsite. They were the first to succeed.
“Great job!!” Shura shouted to them.
“You guys are first to finish, well done.” Yukio said.
They both nodded and took a seat around the campfire.
Around an hour later Kamiki had also finished on her own. Now they just had to wait for the others to be done.
A few hours had passed again and the rest came by. Everyone had finished now.
“You guys were already done?!” Rin screamed in disbelief.
“It was easy.” Kamiki said with a sassy look.
[Y/N] and the guy with the puppet both nodded. But then one of the fireworks went off. Everyone looked confused as to they all cleared the exam.
“Stay here with miss Kirikagure!” Yukio shouted running in the woods.
Shiemi suddenly started to walk out of the circle. Everyone kept shouting at her, but she just continued. Then when she went out of the circle a green haired man was suddenly next to her.
“Amaimon!” Shura said under her breath.
“Wow, thank you all I’ll be taking this girl now.” The man said.
He then ran in the forest with shiemi.
“You guys stay here!” Shura yelled, she ran after Amaimon in the forest.
“No way! I’m coming to!” Rin yelled as he took a sprint after her.
“Damnit, guess I’ll he going to.” Suguro said.
Shima and konokumera followed him.
“Pfft losers, really trying to get yourself killed huh?” Kamiki said in her annoying voice.
“Atleast we died with pride.” [Y/N] said as she ran after the boys.
As they ran after shura and Rin things turned wrong fast. They caught up to them. Rin stood in front of Amaimon. They were on the verge of fighting. Then Suguro fired the firework at Amaimon. Wich led to us doing the same. It pissed him off good.
“GUYS RUN!” Rin shouted. None of them listening ofcourse. “Shura i have to!” Rin said afterward.
“Rin not with them.” Shura replied.
But Rin didn’t listen and drew his sword. He got engulfed in blue flames. The boys looked terrified, except for [Y/N] she looked in amazement. ‘It’s beautiful, do I- do I look like that to?’ She thought to herself.
Rin started to fight with Amaimon. His flames getting stronger with each hit.
“Yukio! We have to go now!” Shura yelled.
“I know! Bon take Shiemi.” Yukio yelled.
Bon nodded and off they went.
“But what about Rin?” [Y/N] yelled. “We can’t leave him alone!” She followed.
“He’ll be fine!” Shura answered.
Without agreeing she followed them. They ended up at the outer side of the forest, where there weren’t any trees.
Then a sudden crash came from a few meters from them. It was Rin. He was still covered in flames.
“Rin!” [Y/N] screamed.
She ran at him, but Yukio and Shura grabbed her arms before she could.
“Let go!” She screamed.
“We can’t he’s dangerous.” Yukio said.
Her face grew angry. Her wrist gave a little shock wich suprised them, in wich they led go. She took a sprint to Rin. Once she was infront of him, she gave him a big hug.
“Rin it’s okay. We’re here for you.” She said while tears were streaming down her face. Rin didn’t answer.
She looked in his eyes. Then she gave him a kiss. The kiss was passionate and made the fire around him stop. They parted from the kiss and Rin fell down in her arms, he was unconscious. As the tears still fell from her cheeks she hugged him tight again.
“Damn Mephisto.” She whispered.
Then Rin got taken out of her arms.
“Hey I wasn’t done here!” She screamed.
She looked up at a man dressed in all white. “I’m the paladin, i got ordered to get Rin and bring him in. The same goes for Mephisto.” He said.
“Well well, good thing I’m here then.” Mephisto said with a smirk.
[Y/N] tugged his shirt and said “ If you don’t bring him back safe I will break your limbs and make a dream catcher from it.”
“Now, now no need to get agressive, i got this.” He answered.
“You have to come to miss Kirikagure, since you got involved in this.” The man in all white said.
Shura took a breath and went after him. “I’ll see you all later guys.” She said with a smile.
“[Y/N] come we need to go back to the academy!” Yukio said.
“Yeah, I’m coming!” She answered.
