Chapter Text
Sara's return was a joyful occasion for everyone, and now that the plot was foiled and the Tengu princess had been returned to her rightful place on the throne, the Tenryou forces had no choice but to surrender.
Takayuki was against it of course, but he gave in when the Shogun herself joined the matter. Of course, Ei was furious with him and the Fatui for taking advantage of the Shogun puppet's programming to manipulate her into letting them control Inazuma.
Given that they not only manipulated the Shogun but they broke the pact between Watatsumi and Narukami, kidnapped a member of the Yokai royalty, subjugated the Clans and countless innocent lives, and various other crimes, Ei cleared things up with the Shogun, who allowed her to take over the role as Inazuma's leader.
And they both agreed that Takayuki was not fit for his title. Hence, he was punished to confinement in the prison that they turned the Fatui's Delusion factory into for a lifetime. Under Sara's recommendation, Kamaji and Masahito took over the Kujou Clan and the Tenryou.
With the Takatsukasa Clan punished similarly to the Fatui and Takayuki's forces, the Alberich, Ragnvindr, Gunnhildr, and Lawrence Clans returned to Narukami Island and took authority over watching Konda Village and the neighboring settlements.
Almost overnight, Narukami was put back in proper control. All the Clans came together under the authority of the kagemusha, as Ei was busy cleaning up after Takayuki and the Fatui, and agreed to no longer have a pact separating the humans and Yokai.
Hence, with Sara's help, the two sides composed a peace treaty that allowed the two sides to cooperate properly, allowing Inazuma to become whole again.
Thanks to this, the two sides were able to help each other with reparations. Repairs that normally would've taken people working by hand for months at the least was accomplished in a matter of weeks.
In the process, Itto and Sara confirmed their feelings toward one another, which was positively received.
When everything was finally settled down again, the newly united kingdom rejoiced. After all, a celebration was in order just for the war to be over.
Not just humans and Yokai joined in either. The creatures from the Abyss had come along to join in. People were at first intimidated, but the Abyss's help made sure that this didn't last.
Paimon spun in between the twins' dancing during the festival. “Paimon hopes that this day is a holiday! We can call it... Victory Over Chaos Day!”
“That doesn't exactly roll off the tongue...” Lumine laughed.
Gorou laughed. “You got any better ideas?”
Itto was busy dancing to the lively music with Yoimiya, who proved that they got along famously. “Bahahaha! I'm betting Yoimiya would love to make this a holiday!”
“You betcha! Wait until the fireworks show happens tonight, I made em all myself!” Yoimiya giggled.
Ayaka burst out laughing as Thoma sent her into a spin. “Ahahahaha! How I've missed this!”
“Haha, yes. Most entertaining!” Ayato agreed nearby, helping Ei with her dance steps.
Sayu pointed nearby. “Hey look, Xiao's family are enjoying themselves too!” Ganyu and her mother Guizhong were pulling an awkward Xiao into a wild performance while Shenhe was with Zhongli, her father.
Yanfei, who was nearby doing her signature tap dancing between her family members, laughed out loud. “Well, DUH! We can't keep grieving forever! I know our siblings are watching us somewhere! Besides, it's a party!”
Barbara performed a spin as she danced. “This is the kind of thing I could sing about!”
Jean and Diluc watched nearby before Jean grabbed Diluc's hand enthusiastically. “Should we take it together?”
“Haha, with pleasure.” He accepted as the two joined the fray.
Amber, who watch this with Kaeya nearby, was surprised. “Whoa. What are the odds of that?”
“You didn't see that coming?” Kaeya asked, giggling.
Itto finished doing a wild dance with Shinobu, who had him wearing a special outfit for the occasion, and asked, “Hey, where's Sara? Anyone seen her?”
He was answered by a buttload of laughter. “What?!”
Tsumi gestured to another nearby area, and Itto was taken by surprise to see Sara, who wore an outfit similar to his, leading an entire group in an energetic dance, and that included her parents and adoptive brothers.
She was currently with another oblivious unnamed noble who obviously wanted her attention, doing a very off dance around her.
Sasayuri noticed his gaze and took Sara to dance, ending it by spinning her towards Itto, who instantly caught her, laughing.
“Haha, well that guy was friendly!”
Sara took a breath as she stood up. “Whew, especially for a man in heels!”
“Are you okay?”
“Oh, I've never been better!”
She reached up to adjust the crown on her head, only to realize it was gone. She glared playfully at the Oni and held her hand out. “Give it back.”
“What, I dunno what you're talking about!” He denied, standing there trying to look innocent.
Rolling her eyes, Sara grabbed onto him and used her surprising strength to do a spin, catching him off guard. “Oh, get over here!”
“Bah!” He yelped, only losing his balance for a second and giving back the item in question. As another song started, the two led the charge in the performance, dancing together and having the most delightful time Sara ever had.
Sara had never laughed so much in her life, and Itto relished in every second of it. When they did finally stop moving, Sara was panting hard.
“You've got moves, Itto!”
“Same to you!” He added.
She looked at all the smiling faces, a warm feeling inside. “I'm so glad we did it... We can finally live in peace again.”
Itto nodded. “Yeah, especially since we no longer have to fight again. Oh, and I know this sounds a little awkward. But...”
He bent down and took her hand. “Will you marry me, Sara?”
She blushed pink. “I... I don't know what to say, it's only been 15 minutes... What took you so long?! Yes!”
Sara's answer caused him to not only stand back up, but the two embraced once more. Sara literally flew into his arms, and surprised him with a swift kiss.
He was surprised, but in a good way. Foreheads together, the two made it clear they would not let each other go. They were more than ready to share many, many smiles together.
