One month later…
It has been a month since I became a high school student. I made a lot of friends and I joined a science club at school. As I was preparing my school stuff in class, the bell rang and I saw Mr. Keith walking to class. Behind him, I saw a relatively short girl with shoulder-length light ginger hair following him.
"Listen up, class! From now on, we're going to have one extra classmate! Please introduce yourself," said Mr. Keith. "Hello, everyone! My name is Petra Ral. I hope we all can be friends. Nice to meet you!" said Petra, ending it with a smile. She's really sweet and looks kind. I hope I can be friends with her.
Right after she introduced herself, I looked to my left where I saw Levi not paying attention. He keeps on looking at his table and playing with his fingers. He soon stop playing with his fingers after Mr. Keith told him that Petra will be sitting between the both of us. Levi just nodded and then continue playing with his fingers.
Once Petra has seated on her chair, I wave and gave a smile to her then I started to introduce myself, “Hi, Petra! My name is Hange Zoë. And the one who is seated on your right side is Levi. Levi Ackerman. I hope we can be good friends!” After that, Levi gave a “tch” and Petra gave a smile to me and said, “Hi, Hange! Hi, Levi! Nice to meet you!”
15 minutes later, my classmates and I are walking to the laboratory and we started Chemistry class. Petra introduced herself to Professor Pyxis then Professor Pyxis told her to seat right next to me. Professor Pyxis started giving instructions for today’s activity. Since the class is odd now, Professor Pyxis said that Petra, Levi, and I will be in one group for laboratory activity.
It is now lunchtime hence all of us are heading to the school’s canteen. In the middle of waiting in the queue line, I asked Petra whether she wants to seat with my friends and I. Then, Petra agreed. After lining up, I saw Nanaba waving her hand and saying, “Hange, Levi, come here!” We all sat down and Petra introduces herself to Erwin, Nanaba, and Mike.
Once we’d finished eating our lunch, we decided to head back to our class. It was actually a calm walk until someone shouted, “Watched out, move away!” to us. Sadly, Petra failed to move away and crashed with the person who was riding a skateboard in the corridor. He and Petra fell down.
Levi and I were helping Petra to stand up and asked Petra whether she is alright or not. Petra said that she was fine but once she stand up, she falls again. The next thing I saw was that Levi carried her and headed to the infirmary. Suddenly, I felt like the time stopped and my eyes widened seeing Levi carrying someone.
There’s a feeling I’ve never experienced. What is this feeling? Next thing, I tried to stay focused and also headed to the infirmary.
