The next morning at the dorms, everybody seem to be too exhausted to get up that early and come out of their rooms and they know its not only because of the physical exhaustion but also because of the tension that occured between them. After Taehyung and Jungkook arrived, Namjoon immediately followed an hour later. Jimin and Jin who came from the hospital, arrived thirty minutes later. Hoseok and Yoongi were the last ones to arrive, which the others have no idea exactly what time they came home.
Just like always, Hoseok is one of the first ones to come out but was surprised to not find Jin nor Namjoon already sitting in the kitchen because whatever happens, whatever day it is, he would always find them there. That's why he is finding this very odd and to get some answers, he went to his bestfriend first. He knocked softly on his room and to his surprise, he was already awake unlike what he was thinking.
"Oh you're awake?!" He said once Namjoon answered his door.
"Yeah, woke up about an hour ago." Namjoon answered, gesturing for him to come inside but Hoseok didn't.
"Its okay, I was just really going to ask if you were busy with something?" He asked curiously.
"No, not at the moment." Namjoon simply answered with a complete pokerface. "Why?"
"I just find it weird that you and Jin hyung haven't come out yet at this time of day." Hoseok answered truthfully with his eyebrows furrowed.
"Oh. Jin hyung hasn't come out too?" Namjoon asked, becoming curious too.
Hoseok shook his head. "Nope. I'm the first one out and still the only one out." Hoseok replied with a slightly frustrated face.
"Ohh right?! Maybe him and the others are still asleep, after all, we slept at almost dawn." Namjoon shrugged and Hoseok doesn't know why but he can clearly detect a slight nervousness on the way Namjoon said it.
"Maybe." Hoseok kind of agrees. "But I can't help but think everyone is trying to avoid everyone and I think its going to be really awkward around here." He pointed out and Namjoon knows full well what he is talking about.
"Yeah but uhmm...maybe its for the best for all of us at the moment so uh we don't make things worse." Namjoon suggested and Hoseok is suddenly startled by that statement because, the Namjoon he knows would not just shrug this kind of thing out especially if it involves the whole group. He would stress about it even if it's only a small problem. "Uh anyway, I haven't showered yet so I'm gonna go get one now. I'll see you downstairs later, okay?" Namjoon then said, avoiding his gaze and now Hoseok is sure his bestfriend is hiding something from him but before he could ask him about it, he hurriedly closed the door gently on his face.
This makes Hoseok even more confused because why is their leader acting like this when he remembers that he was really angry when the argument between Yoongi, Jungkook and Taehyung occured. He makes a mental note to himself to ask Namjoon later but for now, he opts to go down to the kitchen, determined to cook breakfast. Technically it should be lunch now because of the time but then they haven't actually had breakfast yet so might as well call it 'brunch.' He hopes doing this would at least make feel everyone better and actually consider talking, to fix things between them. A minute later, he hears footsteps going down the stairs and it's revealed to be Jimin. Jimin looked like he just woke up with his eyes puffy but he hides it by wearing some glasses. He was also still limping a bit and Hoseok noticed that it was now properly bandaged.
"Good morning Hobi hyung!" Jimin greeted as he settles himself at a high chair on the kitchen counter facing him, in which he was busy preparing something he is planning to cook.
"Good morning Jimin-ah!" Hoseok greeted him back. "Is your leg alright?" He asked, looking over at his leg.
"Yes but are we still the only ones up?" He asked, looking around as if he doesn't still see that its just the two of the them there.
"Yeah." Hoseok simply answered as he continued to busy himself with the eggs. "Namjoon is awake but he hasn't come down yet." He added as he continued moving around the kitchen.
"Jungkookie too." Jimin answered and then he got up from his chair and approached Hoseok, trying to find out if he can be of help. "He said he'll be down later. How about Yoongi hyung?" He asked as he peeks in at the refrigerator when Hoseok gestures for him to get something from the ref.
"Still asleep." Hoseok answered. "When we left last night, it took ages to manage to calm him down because he got really emotional. He was really upset that he fought with Jungkook and Taehyung." He informed Jimin and by the way, he delivered the news, Jimin knew that it was really bad. "He didn't fall asleep until after 5 AM in the morning." He added with a sigh.
"Oh I can't stand this!" Jimin stopped moving around and looked directly at Hoseok with sad eyes. "We really have to fix this soon!" He added, obviously upset with the situation.
"I think so too." Hoseok immediately agreed. "I was already planning to discuss this with Namjoon when I woke up but surprisingly, I didn't find him and Jin hyung when I came out."
"Oh maybe Jin hyung's still trying to talk to Taehyungie. He said he would." Jimin informed and then he went to help Hoseok with whatever he was cooking. "And Joonie hyung must not still be ready to see everybody after his outburst." He suggested, dismissing the doubts lingering around them.
Hoseok doesn't completely agree but he doesn't tell Jimin because he doesn't want him to concern himself with it, "Okay so what do we do?" He just asked instead, hoping that the younger might have an idea how to fix this.
Jimin contemplated, "We formulate a plan with Namjoon hyung and Jin hyung." He suggested in a clearly determined face.
"What's that? I heard my name!" They heard someone talk and when they both turned around, Jin was there coming up to them, still in his pajamas but he doesn't look like he just woke up.
"Oh good hyung!" Jimin's face instantly lights up seeing him. "We're planning something to reconcile the others." He continued enthusiastically as he is glad to get more help.
"Yeah help us Jin hyung!" Hoseok quickly agreed. "I'll ask Namjoon to help too." He added now looking more positive than ever.
But Jin looked abnormally down, looked away from them and walked towards the kitchen and peeking at the refrigerator, probably checking what he should have for breakfast, "Uh count me out!" He answered which startled the other two.
"What? Why hyung?" Hoseok instantly questions because why would Jin turn them down.
Jin approached them with a smug expression, reaching out to get a glass of water, "I don't think I can help."
"Seriously hyung, tell us why! Why wouldn't you want to help us with this?" Hoseok asked again, determined to get an answer because this is seriously highly unlikely of their Jin hyung because first of all, if there's anyone who'd want to fix serious issues like this, it's him and their leader, Namjoon.
Jin sighed, "I do." He answered and he was really really sincere about it but there's something holding him back and Jimin and Hoseok can see it. "But I can't exactly help with Namjoon and I also having serious issues too." He finally gives in and supplied the information the two have been asking for.
"What??!" Hoseok almost immediately reacted with his eyes widened.
Jimin who was also startled by the news, suddenly thought of something and he remembers, Jin actually discussed this with him in the car, "Wait! This was what you were telling me about when we were driving home from the hospital right?! When I asked you why you looked like you just cried your eyes out when you got back from following Joonie hyung?!" Jimin questioned as if the realization just really came to him all of a sudden.
"So you remember?" Jin asked back.
"Yes." Jimin replied, still with a confused expression because he's still trying to recall it. "But now thinking about it, I don't really recall your response." He said, giving up on trying to remember.
Jin didn't look surprised by Jimin's statement and just nodded a little bit, "That's because you fell asleep while I was still talking." He deadpanned.
Jimin's expression suddenly turned apologetic, "Oh hyung, I'm so sorry."
Jin gave him a comforting pat on his shoulders, "No need to apologize, Jimin-ah. I understand, you were exhausted and you were also injured so I didn't really expect anything from you.
"But what was it? What happened to you and Joonie hyung?" Jimin then questioned because he's really curious especially now that he remembers about the crying part.
Jin looked away again, "I'm not ready to discuss that." He said, avoiding the scrutinizing gaze both Hoseok and Jimin had. "At the moment, all I want is to eat so let's finish what you started cooking." He continued and then he went on helping them both with cooking.
The two were still completely bewildered by the sudden revelation that Jin and Namjoon also got into an argument and they really want to know what happened but Jin literally radiates the determination not to talk about it so no matter how curious and confused they are about this whole ordeal, they decided not to push for it.
They were done cooking in an hour and as Jin was setting the table, he turned to both of them. "If you really want to try and reconcile everybody, I have a suggestion." He suddenly blurted out and ignored both Jimin and Hoseok's startled expression.
"What is it?" Hoseok asked.
"Try calling for them now and let's all eat together." Jin suggested and then they noticed, Jin did set the table for all seven of them.
Jimin nodded in agreement, "Yeah I think that will work." He said.
"I'll go try and call them." Hoseok volunteered and then immediately went upstairs.
Jin still looked smug, "But don't expect they would actually all come down." He said knowingly.
Jin was exactly right because when Hoseok returned, he confirmed that none of the others seem to want to come down yet.
Jimin sighed in frustration, "At least we tried Hobi hyung." Jimin pointed out in an attempt to comfort the obviously discouraged Hoseok.
But nothing could ease Hoseok's disappointment, "Are they really going to do this just as we've finished celebrating our sixth anniversary." He said as he pulls out a chair in the table and sat there frustratingly.
"I understand what you two are feeling but I guess they- we need time to reflect on ourselves and have time to think about all the things we've said and done to each other." Jin attempts to explain to both of them, hoping they would at least try to understand why they are acting this way. "We're a family, I know, but sometimes all we need is time away from each other in order to solve issues like this."
Just as Jin was saying that, Namjoon suddenly came in and hearing that statement, he felt guilty and sad. He came to them in the dining room, "Jin hyung!" He called and Jin froze, hearing that voice.
Jin slowly turned around and when their eyes landed on each other, he looked at Namjoon as if he was some stranger.
"Can we please talk?" Namjoon asked as he tries to attempt to come closer.
"No!" Jin answered, flinching and then he starts to walk backwards as Namjoon attempts to approach him.
"Please, I never got the chance to explain." Namjoon pleaded as he continued approaching him.
"What's there to explain?! You clearly meant every word you said to me last night." Jin answered and Jimin and Hoseok can tell that he was mad.
"I'm sorry..." Namjoon tries again with an apologetic expression. "But please listen to me first." He continued pleading and still slowly walking towards Jin.
Jin then stopped walking backwards and raised his arms in front of him, "No! Go away for a minute!" He yelled at him threateningly. "I just need some space okay?! I completely understand, once in a while, our feelings get rejected and that's perfectly fine!" He continued yelling and Namjoon's expression gets even more guiltier.
Hoseok and Jimin who was just silently listening in to the argument, afraid they will make it worse if they try to involve themselves was genuinely surprised to witness this scene unfolding in front of them.
"I'll get over you, I promise but please let's not see each other for a while. Maybe then we can get back to just being Jin and RM of BTS." Jin continued ranting and Namjoon who looked already guilty goes completely limp, just allowing the older to say what he wants to say to him because he knows this is completely his fault anyway.
When Jin doesn't get a response from the younger and he really can't hold his feelings much longer, he exits the kitchen and walked away.
"Wait! Jin hyung!" Jimin reacted so fast. He looked at Hoseok and then Namjoon and he immediately left to follow Jin, knowing full well that Jin might need someone to talk to.
12 HOURS EARLIER . . . . . .
When Namjoon walked out from the argument, Jin followed him, knowing that the younger might need some comfort. He is sure Namjoon needs it, after all he had always been the one who stayed strong for everybody else. He was the only one who never allowed himself vulnerability and Jin knows that it is somewhat tiring.
Jin managed to catch up with him on the parking space. He found Namjoon just standing there beside their car.
"Namjoon-ah!" He called for him as he approached him.
Namjoon turned around, "Hyung?!" He instantly reacted. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell, its just that-"
"It's okay, you don't have to apologize." Jin cut him off and he tries to soothe the younger by giving him a comforting pat on the shoulders.
Namjoon shook his head frantically, still trying to protest "But it was rude of me to-"
"Stop!" Jin cuts him off again and looked directly through his eyes. "Stop thinking about being the bigger man and allow yourself some weakness for a moment." He shushed him in a slightly authoritative but concerned tone.
Jin can see that the younger is about to break down but there's still this determined glint in his eyes which means he is still trying to resist doing just that, breaking down so he shakes his head frantically again, "I can't do that hyung! I'm your leader. I'm not allowed to be weak." He said, looking away.
Jin can clearly see how hard Namjoon is fighting through vulnerability and it makes him sad that Namjoon is suppressing it when he should be releasing it, so he tries to help. He turns Namjoom around, trying to make the younger feel more comfortable in his presence by holding him through his shoulders, "Namjoon look at me! Hey listen!"
Namjoon resists and kept his gaze down, avoiding Jin's because he knows full well that if he does, everything will crumble down. He already feels weak by the way Jin is holding him but he just can't break down here.
Jin gives up making him look up at him so he instead lowers himself down on Namjoon's eye level and when he finally catches his gaze, "Hey!" He started. "You might be our leader but you're also a human being with a heart and is allowed to run out of patience, okay?! That's not going to make you a bad leader, do you understand?" Jin sincerely said, looking directly through Namjoon's eyes, hoping that the latter would catch on how sincere he is. "At least for today, or maybe just a few hours, be Kim Namjoon!" Jin continued comforting him.
Hearing those words and looking directly through Jin's sincere eyes, something tugs on Namjoon's heart and he knows he just can't hold it in anymore. Just like that, the hard exterior he has tried so hard to establish ever since he became the leader of BTS crumbled down. He's not technically crying but he feels emotional which made him sink down towards the floor. Jin instantly reacted by grabbing him on the shoulders, stood him up and hugged him through it.
"It's okay, hyung's here!" Jin calmly soothes him through it by continously patting him on his back. "Just release everything." He continued and Namjoon just went silent and limp on Jin's arms.
It's not until Namjoon feels like he is a little bit okay now that he says something, "I just don't know what to do anymore. Everything just seem to fall apart so easily and now they're arguing right in front of me and I can't do anything." He voices out complaints, knowing full well that Jin thinks rational and he might have an idea how to fix this mess.
"You know that no matter how grown up they may seem, they can still think immature sometimes and act as impulsive as they always have." He said, pulling away from the hug to look at him. "But they listen, I'm sure if we all just talk calmly about it, this can be settled." He assured him and Namjoon knows he's right, they all just have to trust each other again.
"Hyung what would I ever do without you?!" Namjoon said, out of nowhere and by Jin's startled expression, he knew the older wasn't expecting it. Namjoon means it because Jin may seem and act immature at times but he knows when to be responsible and Namjoon is grateful for that.
"Hmm...you would end up as the shitty leader." Jin jokingly said with a teasing grin.
Namjoon chuckled, "I think so too." He agreed without even a little protest.
"Yah! I was kidding!" Jin smacked him for reacting like that. "You can never be a shitty leader, in fact you're the best leader any group can ever have." He said, complimenting him and this time, he's serious and he means it.
"Thank you hyung!" Namjoon thanked the older sincerely with a smile. "For always believing in me." He continued because he is indeed grateful that their eldest has great faith in him and that somehow motivates him to become an even better leader.
"Of course, I would never stop believing in you even if you stop believing in yourself." Jin responded almost immediately.
Namjoon shot him a questioning look, "Which I would never know how you manage to do. Tell me hyung, what do you really see in me." He asked the older with a curious expression.
Jin was caught off guard by the sudden question, not to mention the stares he had been earning from him. It's making Jin uncomfortable because he feels that he is getting lost somewhere in those piercing stares.
"Jin hyung!" Namjoon snaps a finger on his face which returned him to the real world.
"Oh right!" Jin responded, feeling embarassed on what he had just done. "What was that again?" He ask, hoping to diffuse the awkward tension.
"What do you really see in me? Why do you believe in me so much?" Namjoon repeats the question again.
Jin wants to avoid the question but he doesn't have excuses anymore left so he tries to just shrug it out, "Oh believe me, you're better off not knowing." He just answered with a warning, hoping that the younger would let it go.
Namjoon frowned, "Now I'm really curious, that's unfair hyung."
Jin chuckled nervously, "Just trust me, if I tell you it will mess up your head." He resorted to another warning, hoping those words would make him reconsider asking the question.
But Namjoon's expression became even more curious than ever, "You think I can't handle it?! Come on hyung, just tell me. I'm literally 25 years old now, I can handle it." He continued pestering Jin and now he's annoyed.
"Its because I like you Namjoon-ah!" He bursted out before he can stop himself. When he realizes he said it out loud, he panics internally as he waits for his reaction. He, so badly, wanted to take it back but his own curiousity whether the younger would actually return his feelings got the better of him so he waits for his reaction.
Namjoon remained looking nonchalant, "I like you too Jin hyung!" He replied with a shrug. "But that doesn't really answer my question." He continued, still with a curious expression.
By that reaction, Jin knew that the younger didn't really get what he was trying to say so he attempts to tell him again in a more obvious manner, "No, I mean I like you, as in I have feelings for you and that's why I believe in you so much!" He told him clearly.
Realization immediately hit Namjoon and the smile he had earlier slowly fades away, his eyes widened but he goes completely silent.
Jin expected that it was a natural reaction so he lets him have his time to allow it to sink in but as minutes passed by, Namjoon still didn't respond and then he notices a shift on his expression and he sees it, Namjoon is looking away and his face is falling. He realizes that he got the reaction he was waiting for.
"Hyung I-" Jin hears Namjoon try to say something but he cuts him off.
"No don't say it! It's fine, I think I get it." He said, turning away from him slowly.
"Wait hyung! Is this serious?" Namjoon attempts to approach him. "Can't we just-uh- stay friends?" He asked without thinking.
Jin flinched at the words, "I thought I told you not to say anything!" He shots back, completely hurt. "That was a clear rejection, wasn't it?" He continued with a pained expression.
Namjoon widened his eyes in shock at the realization of what he just said, "No hyung! Listen-" He attempted to take it back but Jin cuts him off for the third time.
"You know what, I don't wanna hear it." Jin told him upsettingly. "I'm just gonna go." He said and then he walks out, not wanting to hear anymore of the younger's words.
"Jin hyung wait!" He hears Namjoon call him again but he never looks back at him again, determined to exit that place and go break down somewhere else.
PRESENT . . . . .
He could not stand remembering that anymore so he stops there but the tears has just began to fall as he was out of the door of the dorms.
"Jin hyung!" He hears someone calling out from behind him and he realizes it's Jimin. Jimin looked at him with eyes full of concern and without hesitation, he approached him and hugged him.
"Come on hyung! I'll get you out of here and I promise I'll listen this time." Jimin said, as he pulls away from the hug and looking at him straight through the eyes.
Jin starts to wipe away his tears, "I would but where shall we go? I'm still on pajamas." He suddenly said, forcing a grin.
"Oh right!" Jimin instantly reacted and then look him up from top to bottom. "Why is this so you, Jin hyung?! You just stopped crying and we're in the middle of something serious and you suddenly just burst out with a joke." He said, a little bit flustered by the older's attitude but then he's still endeared by this which made him giggle in the end.
"Well maybe that's just me!" Jin simply replied, feigning pride on his tone.
Jimin nodded in agreement, "Yeah at least we will immediately know if it's still you, judging by the lame jokes." He said, throwing it out like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"And that is why I made sure it was my trademark." Jin replied in 'as-a-matter-of-fact' tone which made Jimin slightly glare at him. Jin chuckled at the younger's reaction. "But seriously, Jimin-ah thank you!" He said, suddenly changing the topic and shifts his mood into a more serious one. "Thank you for following me all the way here." He continued, looking at Jimin affectionately while trying to show he really appreciated it.
"What hyung?!" Jimin raised his eyebrows, getting confused on the sudden gratefulness at such a small gesture. "It's just outside our front door, why are you thanking me?"
"Yeah but you still have an injury remember?! Bandages!" Jin replied, looking smug and pointing at Jimin's leg.
Jimin looked at what the older was pointing and then realization hits him, "Oh right! I suddenly just remembered." He said and laughed at his own forgetfulness.
Jin frowned at him, "Seriously??!" He questions because how can a normal person actually forget that he has injury.
"I was too occupied with the fact that you were in pain, hyung!" Jimin deadpans, slightly frustrated that Jin is questioning his own concerned gesture for him.
"I know." Jin simply replied and that bothered Jimin because he can sense that the older is becoming upset again.
Jimin tries to gain Jin's attention again, determined to help him escape from here for a while. "So what now hyung?! Are we going to stand here all day or are we going to get out of here?" He asked the older, feigning impatience, hoping that it would at least pull Jin's attention away from other things.
"Hmm...okay!" Jin relents and agrees. "But we're just going to drive around, no one should see us out." He said as he reaches for his pocket for the car keys. It's a good thing he carried it around when he found it near the kitchen sink with an original intention of keeping it.
"Good then! My time is all yours!" Jimin said before finally getting on the car with Jin. They informed the others where they were going through text so they wouldn't worry about them and then they finally left after that.

While back at where we left Hoseok and Namjoon, they were still in complete shock about what just happened. It's not until Hoseok looks at Namjoon when he finally says something, "Was that true? Jin hyung really did confess to you?" Hoseok asked as if he's just only asking to confirm it.
Namjoon just nodded as he could not find the right words to say.
"And you just completely rejected him?" Hoseok asked in disbelief which made Namjoon flinched with even more guilt.
"N-no, I mean yes!" He answered nervously, mixing up the words because of so much guilt he's feeling. "But I really didn't mean to hurt him like that. I didn't think and I was panicking, its the first time someone has ever confessed to me." He said, trying to explain his own side that he, himself actually don't believe, is good enough to justify what he did.
Hoseok looked up at him and hearing that explanation, he thinks he knows why his bestfriend acted like this, "Is it because Jin hyung is the first guy to ever confess to you and naturally, it made you panic because you're straight?" He asked, he knows he wasn't supposed to judge his bestfriend but he just wants to understand him so he attempts to ask nicely so he would at least get him to voluntarily tell him his real feelings towards what happened to him and their Jin hyung.
"No. Of course not." Namjoon immediately denied. "I mean yeah, I admit, at first, I kind of thought about that but then suddenly I realized we're basically bandmates and relationships and attractions don't really work out when you're on the same band. Jin hyung is really important to me, I don't want to make things awkward between us." He tries to explain, not sure if he was convincing only Hoseok or if he's also convincing himself.
"But things aren't really different now, isn't it?" Hoseok reiterates. "Jin hyung is mad at you and now he wants you to stay away from him when you literally live on the same dorms." He pointed out and Namjoon's face fell because he knows Hoseok is right, he is so damn right.
"I know, I know." Namjoon answered as he hides his face on both of his large hands, probably beating himself up in his mind silently. "Gosh why do I have to be so stupid of all the days." He continued as he really feels awful about his impulsive reaction to a love confesssion.
Hoseok can feel Namjoon's distress so he reaches out an arm to give him a comforting squeeze on his shoulders, "Look Namjoon-ah, I don't intend on rubbing it in because I know you're already feeling terrible about this but I think you should just grant Jin hyung's request to stay away from each other for a while, at least when it's not absolutely necessary." Hoseok said, trying to give him some helpful advice and he thinks that would be much more advisable for now.
"I think so too," is what all Namjoon replied because he knows his bestfriend is right again.
"You're alright Namjoon-ah, you'll be alright!" Hoseok tries to comfort him as he can feel he's genuinely distressed about what he had done but he still can't help himself from expressing his disappointment about this situation because with Jin and Namjoon's fallout, it literally means that it's only him and Jimin left to settle the situation.
"Gosh as much as I feel terrible for both of you and Jin hyung, I'm also really disappointed you would both decide to make things awkward right when Yoongi hyung and the other youngests are fighting too." Hoseok pointed out with a sigh he's trying not to let out, only to fail.
"Will you tell the others?" Namjoon asked, a little bit startled and nervous at that statement.
"I don't know." Hoseok replied with a confused expression which indicated that he's still contemplating about it. "But if I do, its only going to make things worse and I don't think I can stand another argument anymore." He continued and Namjoon can tell he's torn.
"I'm sorry. I really don't know what came over me, adding another problem when we already have so much to deal with." Namjoon said guiltily as he tries to apologize.
"Well I guess we don't really have any choice now but to try and fix everything." Hoseok said, resorting to just shrugging it out. "Leave this to Jimin and I then. I just hope we can reconcile Yoongi hyung, Taehyung and Jungkook before they find out about you and Jin hyung." He said, taking a deep breath.
"What happened to you and Jin hyung, Joonie hyung?!" Someone suddenly came up to them and it startled both Namjoon and Hoseok. It was revealed to be the maknae, as they turned around.
"Oh Jungkookie, did you hear everything?" Namjoon asked as Jungkook approached them.
Jungkook shook his head, "Nope. What is it?" He asked curiously as he can see unnecessary jumpy reactions from the both of them.
"Uh it's nothing that you should worry about." Hoseok was the one who responded this time as he gives Namjoon a nonchalant warning glare.
Jungkook then just shrugged out the earlier curiousity and diverts his attention somewhere else, "So where's everybody else?" He asked as it is weird that he doesn't see his Jimin hyung and Jin hyung there when he knows they already went downstairs ages ago. He expects his V hyung and Yoongi hyung might be on their rooms yet so he doesn't look for them.
"Oh! Uh Jimin and Jin hyung went out for a drive somewhere." Hoseok replied as he reads a text message from them on his phone.
"But I didn't see Jimin hyung shower nor change clothes. Where could they be going?" He asked, really super curious.
"Don't worry about it, Jungkookie. I'm sure they won't show themselves to the public." Hoseok suggested as he doubts the two would actually go out on a state like that.
"Okay. I'll just text Jimin hyung later then." Jungkook informed them and turned towards the dining table as if he just notices the table has been set. "You cooked breakfast, hyung. I mean lunch!" He said as he settles down at one of the chair because it's really the only reason why he had come down, he's been starving since he woke up but was trying to resist since he still kind of feels bad about what happened.
"Oh yeah we did. I told you to come down and eat with us earlier, remember?" Hoseok reminded and then Jungkook remembers when the older did knock at his room but he pretended, he didn't hear as he thinks he wasn't ready to see the others, until he changed his mind.
"Oh sorry about that!" Jungkook apologized. "So aren't we gonna call V hyung or uhmm...Yoongi hyung maybe?" He asked shyly.
Namjoon looked startled, "Am I hearing it right? You want to eat with Yoongi hyung?" He asked as he didn't expect for the younger to initiate this kind of gesture but then he remembers that Jungkook isn't exactly that stubborn to not be open to talk and fix things.
"Its gonna be awkward but I can do that." Jungkook simply replied but sincerity is evident on his tone.
"Really? So you're open to talk to him again and maybe fix things?" Hoseok asked again.
"Of course Hobi hyung." Jungkook immediately answered. "We never really wanted to pick a fight with him, me and V hyung, and besides, we already promised Jimin hyung we would." He informed them and he really does mean it.
"That's great Jungkookie!" Namjoon responded happily and proud that they are really trying to be mature about this particular situation.
"Yeah, Jimin hyung made us realize that we might have disrespected him at some point and he really doesn't deserve it." Jungkook told them with a guilty expression.
"Right. You can apologize to him when he wakes up. I don't think he'll be pleased if we woke him up now." Hoseok informed them as he also settles down on a chair as he had been really hungry too and if not for the scene earlier, he would have eaten already.
"Okay!" Jungkook simply replied and started eating and he sees Namjoon sits on his usual chair too.
The three of them ate together with Taehyung joining them 5 minutes later. He announced, he was also starving when he came in and immediately reached for food. Somehow, Hoseok feels hopeful they would still be able to fix this before the day ends.

Later that day, it was nearing evening, while Hoseok was enjoying a chat with Namjoon and Yoongi, discussing something about the next track they are going to work on after the rest week for their next comeback, Jungkook suddenly excused himself.
"Hobi hyung, did Jimin hyung and Jin hyung say where they were going? Why aren't they back yet?" He asked, clearly anxious, occassionally looking at both his phone and the door.
"I have no idea! Have you tried calling?" Hoseok asked back as he also, hasn't talked to Jimin nor Jin ever since they left.
"I did but it kept going through voice mail." Jungkook replied with a frown and the three hyungs can feel the younger's worry.
"Jungkook-ah please calm down. Jin hyung is with Jimin. I'm sure they would take care of each other." Namjoon is quick to reassure him.
And then suddenly, Jungkook's phone came ringing and the younger immediately answered when he sees it's Jimin. "Hello hyung! I've been calling for hours! Where are you?" He said through the phone, almost yelling as he's really upset Jimin made him worry so much but relief can be heard too.
Jimin, on the other side of the conversation, hears the younger's distress clearly, "Oh so sorry about that!" He quickly apologizes. "I didn't notice you were calling. Were you worried?" He asked guiltily.
"Of course Jimin hyung!" Jungkook gets upset about the question because does he really need to still ask that.
"I'm sorry!" Jimin apologized again because he can hear Jungkook is really upset with him. "Jin hyung and I were just really into our conversation that I didn't notice my phone ringing." He explained.
Jungkook lets out a sigh of relief, indicating that he's not upset anymore, "Okay that's fine! But please don't ever do that again and come back now please!" He pleads, anxiousness back on his tone again.
"Oh we can't Jungkookie!" Jimin tries to shut the younger down nicely. "Not yet!" He continued, not exactly providing a clear explanation why.
"But why?" Jungkook questioned.
"Jin hyung doesn't want to come back yet." Jimin simply answered.
It made Jungkook worry even more because Jimin is resisting to answer his question clearly. "Why? What's going on?" He attempts to ask again, hoping the older wouled explain further.
"We'll explain later, okay?" Jimin replied and it wasn't what Jungkook expected. This confirms that something is being kept from him, something he is sure only the hyungs know.
"Fine." Jungkook relents for now. "But is Jin hyung alright?" He asked as he thinks that whatever they are keeping from him, it involves Jin.
"He's fine Jungkookie." Jimin assures him. "But I have to go okay? We'll talk later when we come home." He said as he really needs to hang up now.
"Okay. Bye." Jungkook said and then he hangs up too, if he can't get answers from Jimin, he'll get it through the other hyungs.
He turned to the three hyungs who was just quietly listening in a while ago, but then they're all looking at him now too. "Jimin hyung said that Jin hyung doesn't want to come home yet." He informed them. "Hyungs what's going on? Is there something going on you're not telling me? Why would Jin hyung refuse to come back?" He immediately bombarded them with questions as he really is so confused about this.
Right at that moment, Taehyung also came who was immediately alerted by what he heard. "What did you say Jungkookie? You were able to contact Jin hyung? I've been trying to, in the past two hours but Jin hyung doesn't answer. What's happening?" Just like Jungkook, he bombarded them with questions as he casts an anxious glance at each of them.
"I don't know V hyung. It's Jimin hyung I've talked to and he is with Jin hyung." Jungkook replied. "I told him to come home but he said Jin hyung doesn't want to, yet. He didn't tell me why so I'm asking the other hyungs if they know anything." He went on, briefing Taehyung of his phone conversation and what he was doing before he came in.
The both of them, then, turned to the other three hyungs who have been abnormally quiet which is telling them they really know what is going on, they're just not saying anything with the exception of Yoongi of course, who obviously wasn't there the whole time.
"Hoseok-ah, Namjoon-ah why won't you answer them?" Yoongi who was also, just as confused as Jungkook and Taehyung began to turn towards Namjoon and Hoseok, expecting some answers.
Hoseok looked at Namjoon nervously as he thinks about what to tell them. He was hesitant to betray his bestfriend but then he really doesn't want to lie to the others either. "Uhmm-" He begins but he was quickly interrupted.
"It's my fault!" Hoseok hears Namjoon blurt out. He was startled that Namjoon didn't even hesitate to confess but then again, he had always been that way. As far as he knew, their leader hates lying and he definitely does admit to his faults and mistakes every chance he gets.
Yoongi's eyebrows furrowed and looked at Namjoon with confused eyes, "Your fault? What are you talking about?" He asked because for as long as he have known Namjoon, the younger doesn't make mistakes not because he is a perfectionist but because he doesn't act impulsively.
"It's my fault!" Namjoon repeats. "Jin hyung doesn't want to come back because he doesn't want to see me." He said, as he nervously explained what happened. "I-uh...Jin hyung confessed to me last night." He continued, completely looking away from the prying eyes of the others.
"About his feelings for you?" Yoongi asked directly which made Namjoon look up to him, looking for traces of shock of learning that Jin had feelings for him but then there was none.
"You know hyung?" Namjoon asked, throwing him confused looks.
"Uhmm...duh?!" Yoongi scoffed. "Everybody in this room probably knows...well except for you." He informed and judging by the sarcasm, Namjoon knew the older wasn't lying.
"What?! Is that true?" Namjoon still asked the other three just to ask for confirmation. The other three just nodded.
"Okay that was a bit stupid of me not to notice!" Namjoon huffed on his own obliviousness because how can he miss that?! If he had known firsthand, he would at least have the time to think about what to respond.
"Wait hyung!" Taehyung cuts in. "If Jin hyung was mad at you, then does that mean-" He asked, struggling to finish the question as his expression suddenly turned sour. "Ugh...please don't make me say it!" He continued but ultimately failing to put into words what he wants to say.
Namjoon knows what Taehyung was trying to say so he responds, "Y-yes! I did!" He said as he bows his head in complete shame.
Taehyung, Jungkook and Yoongi already knew the answer but hearing it from Namjoon still had them shocked, "What did you say to him Namjoon hyung?" Taehyung tries to ask through utter disbelief.
"I wasn't thinking. I didn't know what to react so I just completely blurted out that we should stay friends." He said, nervously fidgeting his fingers through the hem of his shirt.
"In other words, you just completely rejected him and friendzoned him??" Yoongi asked, also with a disbelieving tone.
Namjoon doesn't know what to say anymore to justify what he did which he knows full well he can't justify anyway so he doesn't and just nodded again. He chose to prepare for the worst reactions instead but while he believes all of them will get mad at him, nobody hasn't spoken yet but he can read the utter disappointment from their faces. He couldn't stand it.
"Go ahead guys! Say everything you wanna say." Namjoon tells them, wanting the others to just tell him what they think of him than enduring the silence when he knows they're probably judging him silently.
"I don't think I have anything to say but I hope you didn't do it because you actually believed in what I said about complicating things within the band." Yoongi was the first one to say something and surprisingly, Namjoon can tell the older was sincere.
"No. It's not!" He replied and Yoongi just shrugged.
Taehyung who also hasn't said anything either doesn't know what to say because he is conflicted. He wasn't surprised that Namjoon rejected his Jin hyung since he had always known that the former doesn't have feelings for the latter but deep inside, he is hurt too, knowing that Jin must have been in pain right now so he just silently exits.
Namjoon gets startled by the younger's reaction, "Taehyung-ah!" He calls but the younger never looked back.
"Great! Way to go, Kim Namjoon! Now Taehyung's mad at you too." Namjoon disappointingly said, beating himself up for creating such a mess.
"I'll go talk to him!" Jungkook volunteered and immediately followed after Taehyung. Namjoon, Hoseok and Yoongi looked at each other frustratingly .

By evening, Jin and Jimin came back to the dorms, looking more okay than they were, when they left. Jimin was able to convince Jin to come back after driving around on absolutely nowhere because he thinks they stink now since they didn't even get the chance to shower and change because of how things quickly escalated. Jin's mood is back to normal, at least a bit, since he laughs with Jimin even at the most random things. When they pull over the garage of the dorms, they took a minute outside before they went in.
"Yah Jimin-ah!" Jin calls as he follows after Jimin getting out of the car.
Jimin looks at him as he grabs his phone to check for messages and calls, "Yes hyung?" He says in between fiddling with his phone.
"Thank you for being my angel today!" Jin tells him with a grateful and sincere tone, as he sincerely flashes a smile too.
Jimin then stuffed his phone to his pocket, "Oh just today hyung?!" He said, flashing a teasing smirk and then an offending huff.
"Of course not! You'll always be my angel and my smile." Jin replied, winking at him which made Jimin bursts into giggles.
"Ugh, hyung! Why so sweet?" He said, not really used to the fact that Jin is being sweet with his words. Jin is undoubtedly the most caring eldest hyung they know but he rarely does use such sweet words, as he says, he thinks it'd spoil the dongsaengs.
"No reason but I'm sweet most of the time." Jin responded jokingly.
Jimin rolled his eyes at that which made Jin giggle.
"I can tell your back to your old self now then, Jin hyung?! I'm glad." Jimin told him, sporting a smug grin. "But I'm in a really bad need change of clothes so can we please go in now?" He asked impatiently and Jin is pretty sure the younger gave him an annoyed look.
"Yah! I'm the one who's still in pajamas!" Jin spats back as he is annoyed that the younger actually had the nerve to call him out for leaving so abruptly without changing clothes.
"Was just messing with you hyung?!" Jimin replied with a chuckle. "But I still really need that shower so in we go, please?! And hurry up!" He scoffed but Jin doesn't get offended this time.
"Okay," was all Jin managed to reply because Jimin was already walking towards the front door to the dorms. He makes sure the car is properly parked and then he followed the younger.
"Come on hyung! I told you to hurry up!" He hears Jimin yell as he sees him opening the door and coming inside.
He annoyingly followed Jimin in, "Yah! Have some respect to your elders-" He fails to finish his sentence as he comes in and met Yoongi and Hoseok, looking all glum on the living room. The two didn't even have enough spirit to greet them.
"Yah why do you look so depressed there?!" Jin calls out Hoseok and Yoongi who barely even moved from where they were sitting and is still looking at him so anxiously. "I'm the one who got rejected, not you!" He decides to clown his own problems as he always does to make the people around him not pity and feel sorry for him and to tell them he's fine.
Hoseok and Yoongi is used to Jin's capability to treat everything as a joke but they didn't expect that even in this moment, he would do it.
"Wow! Even in this situation, you're willing to joke around?" Yoongi informs him in awe and disbelief about the older's behavior.
"Well do you want me to sulk and dwell in my own misery then?" Jin questioned. "This is my way of telling you, I'll be fine so deal with it." He tells them, hoping that this would stop them from worrying about him.
"Where are the others, hyungs?" Jimin cuts in.
"Uh Jungkook and Tae knows about what happened to you and Namjoon now." Hoseok was the one who replied.
"What happened? Did they argue?" Jin immediately asked as he is genuinely worried that he might have caused another tension.
Yoongi shook his head, "We didn't get an honest response. Taehyung just walked out and Jungkookie said he'll talk to him but we haven't seen them both after that." He replied with an anxious glance.
"They're probably in your room, Jin hyung." Yoongi pointed them to where the other maknaes might be.
"Okay. I'll go talk to them." Jin told them.
"I'll come with you hyung." Jimin said and he follows Jin upstairs.
They softly knocked and called for them. "Taehyung-ah are you in there? It's Jin hyung!" He said as he opened the door to their room.
They found Taehyung asleep on Jungkook's shoulders. Jungkook who was awake, reacted but he didn't move as he didn't want to disturb his V hyung's sleep. Jimin who was surprised by the sight is trying to ignore the distracting feeling of jealousy, as he approached them with Jin.
"What happened Jungkook-ah?" Jin asked when he comes closer.
"We found out about what happened to you and Joonie hyung and I don't know what went through V hyung's head. I tried talking to him but he just went completely quiet and then we ended up like this." Jungkook explained, obviously looking concerned.
Taehyung was still sleeping peacefully and Jimin can't still help but feel uncomfortable about it. Jin quietly and gently motioned for Jungkook to trade places with him and took Taehyung in his arms. Jungkook went to Jimin's side immediately as Jin took over, he gets startled as he felt Jimin involuntarily took Jungkook's hand and intertwined them with his. Jungkook chose to ignore his surprise and allowed the older to do what he wants as he knows, Jimin is just probably just doing it for comfort.
"Anyway Jin hyung, how about you? How are you feeling?" Jungkook asked as he is worried about the older too.
"Oh don't worry about me, I'll be fine." Jin simply replied, not wanting to shift the attention to him again.
And so then, Jin woke Taehyung up, "Taehyung-ah wake up." He calls to him as he gently shakes the younger.
Taehyung stirred and looked up at the person who was disturbing his sleep. "Jin hyung! Is that you?" He immediately scrambled as he realizes who was holding him.
"Yes. I'm sorry I ignored your calls. Are you okay?" Jin asked with concern.
"I should be asking you that." Taehyung said as he looks at the elder affectionately while he tries to reach for his hands and when he does, he gives it a comforting squeeze.
"I'm alright." Jin simply answered as he look at each of them as if he was trying to appeal to them that he really is okay. "You all really don't need to worry about me, I promise. Now have you all ate dinner?" He reassured and immediately changes the topic.
"Not yet. V hyung and I haven't left this room since this afternoon." Jungkook replied.
Jimin who was still holding on Jungkook's hand suddenly let go upon hearing that, feeling that familiar feeling of jealousy earlier. Jungkook was oblivious and has no idea what Jimin is feeling, so he just shrugged it out, though he was really curious.
"And the others?" They hear Jin ask another question and both Jimin and Jungkook disregarded their own thoughts quickly.
"No. We don't think so." Jungkook was the one who responded again.
Jin sighed, "Let me just take a shower first, tell the others I'll cook dinner for everybody. No one is allowed to go to sleep without eating." He strictly instructs the three of them.
The three of them just nodded as Jin really does get strict about everyone eating so they don't argue.
Jin then turned to Jimin, "Jimin-ah go take a shower." He commands. "Taehyung-ah, Jungkook-ah come of out of the room for a while. Your Hobi and Yoongi hyung have been really worried." He added, as he commands both Jungkook and Taehyung too.
"Okay. We'll do that hyung!" Jimin replied.
And then the three youngests obeyed and came out of the room. Everything seem to be very complicated now. Will they be able to still fix this?
