You picked up food for Kuroo yesterday, while you were walking towards the pet store you received a text from Hinata that still had you thinking about what he could be talking about. You were sitting on your couch with Kuroo to the side purring as you scratched his head The tv was running but you were too deep into your thoughts.
Did he know someone who has a missing black cat named Kuroo? Maybe that's the case I mean why else would he-
You were and Kuroo were brought back to reality when you hear a knock on the door. “Coming,” you said putting on your slippers. Turning on the heat as you walked past it.
These past few days have been so cold and it's been raining almost all day making it hard to get out of bed and not fall asleep during class.
You opened the door to Hinata with wet hair, panting “Jesus Shoyo why are you all wet” you said concerned about the boy who was tired from running from his volleyball practice to your house. Kuroo jumped off the couch to see who it was.
“Sorry about leaving you on read,” Hinata said You pulled his hand to bring him inside “That's why you ran to my house in the rain!” you said sitting him down and taking his jacket from him.
“No,” he said shaking a bit he looked around the house looking for Kuroo “Where is he,” he said. “Kuroo?” you said he nodded, and you looked around to see Kuroo on the table behind him looking at him you chuckled a little looking at Kuroo who looked like he wanted to kill Hinata. You nodded your head towards Kuroo and Hinata turned his head towards the black cat.
Kuroo hissed and his fur raised up as he arched his back as Hinata looked at him “y/n I know who’s cat this is” Hinata said Your eyes widened “What” “I have a friend who has a missing cat named Kuroo which is why I got shocked and left you read, I tried reaching him but it took me a few days for him to respond…”
Hinata kept on talking about this friend of his, But all you could think about was how you were going to get Kuroo taken away from you, You loved Kuroo you never had any pets before and Kuroo was your first ever. You loved him so much and got so close with him but now your overthinking jinxed it ‘god great job y/n’ you said mentally cursing yourself you kept on ignoring Hinata as he kept on talking that you hadn’t felt a tear fall, and you soon started coughing again.
“y/n?” Hinata said taking you away from your thoughts. You ran to the sink as you started coughing up blood and petals.
