He peeled his jacket open, and Izuku gasped. There, huddled in the crook of Hitoshi's arm, was a ragged bundle of fur.
Izuku stared at the trembling creature. It was hard to tell in its sodden state, but it seemed to have soft, creamy fur, with patches of brown that could have been colouring or dirt. He gazed at the liquid dark eyes, the little twitching nose, the long velvety ears.
“Oh my god,” he whispered. “Is that—?”
“A rabbit.”
