“Good mor-” Five started, cut off by Vanya’s high-pitched squeak of alarm.
“Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus” Vanya gasped, clutching the front of her shirt tightly. Five peered at her from the cupboard, eyes glinting in the lowlight of the kitchen.
It was 2am on a Tuesday, and all Vanya wanted was a glass of cold water to wash down the nightmarish aftertaste of blood in her mouth.

“Like we didn’t know that,” Vanya hums, cheek resting on the table. “We’ve all been to therapy.”
“Yeah, I’m not without fault, but at least I can enjoy non-charred food like a regular human being,” Ben hisses, jabbing his finger at the pan that is now visibly smoking. Five glances down, shrugging.

Beside him, he could've sworn Dolores giggled. Maybe he was already losing his mind, only three years into this hell. He glared at Dolores, her serene smile unnerving. He really was losing his mind.
He stood and continued walking, finding a building up ahead. It wasn't totally broken, many walls were still standing and, as he got closer, he noticed some burnt up seating. Finally reaching his destination, he found part of a stage. He had found an amphitheater, one not unlike what Vanya used to dream of playing at.
A ghost of a smile played at Five's lips.
