Path of hurt, Day 1: Gaslighting/brainwashing
“I can’t do this anymore”, Kaminari spurted out.
“What?” Shinso growled out but quickly toned down his voice when he noticed Denki flinch, “I mean, what do you mean by what you just said?”
Denki hesitated a bit before he explained himself meekly, “...Whenever we go out to eat or something you always decide what I’m wearing and what I’ll be doing.” Denki hesitated a bit before continuing, “You do the same even when we're inside or it’s just the two of us and it’s just really… suffocating.”
Denki glanced at Shinso before avoiding eye contact once again and hurriedly continuing “I’m not saying that you’re a bad boyfriend or anything, I just think we should maybe take a… small break for a while.”
“A small break from what?” Shinso questioned.
Denki fiddled with his fingers instead of answering right away.
“Denki”, Shinso said sharply.
“O- our.. relationship”, Kaminari quietly answered.
Hitoshi sighed out, “Denki, when have I ever done anything wrong to you?”
“Well…”, Kaminari tried to answer before he was interrupted, “You yourself said that I’m a good boyfriend so there should be no reason for us to ‘take a break’”
“It’s not that! It’s-” “And anyway if one of us deserves a break, it’s me”, Shinso states.
“What?” Kaminari sputtered.
“I mean, I’m the one always cleaning up after your messes. That’s the reason why I help you with things like clothing you know, so that there aren't any messes I have to clean up later”, Shinso stated matter of factly.
“I’m sorry”, Denki apologized after a while, “I didn’t know”
“You never do, do you?” Shinso exasperated, “But that’s why I’m here, to help”, Hitoshi states.
Denki hesitates a bit before speaking, “Hito-”
“It’s your bedtime about now, isn’t it Denki?” Hitoshi concluded, “We can talk again tomorrow”, Shinso smiled at Denki.
“Oh”, Denki blushed in response, “Alright, I’ll be going then.”
Kaminari started walking towards his room before Hitoshi interrupted him. “Oh, and before you go”
“Yea-” Denki blanked out.
“Forget about this conversation we just had and ignore your thoughts about breaking up with me”
Once it seemed like Denki understood, Shinso let him go.
