I approach my shallow pond, another Test of Love at hand...Centuries ago, I offered the fertility of the forest to the blessed few denizens of this place...I am ancient and nameless, but in their language, they called me Zethino as a gesture of gratitude: Gift of the West Wind, Bearer of Spring, Life Giver.
Two adventurers approach Zethino to undergo her love test, but the stench of the tadpole's illness is as thick on them as it is on her beloved home in Rivington. She reflects on the centuries of love and natural bounty she has cultivated in the surrounding village - and the outside dangers that threaten that peace.

All seemed to be in order. For now. One must remain vigilant. After all, it hadn’t been long since all that nonsense had spilled into his domain. Most unacceptable. The whole kerfuffle had quite ruined his afternoon sunbathing. That there had been no sunbeams in his domain due to the effects of that dreadful curse was entirely irrelevant. Why, the mess had taken days to clean up! Not that he had done any of it himself, of course. That’s what underlings were for.
