Summary
The Collector was defeated. Belos was gone. The Isles were saved.
But where does that leave him then? Where was Hunter supposed to go, now that his friends were all reunited with their families and his former place of living gone?
He felt someone grab and ruffle his hair and when he turned around, his eyes widened when he saw Darius, when Eberwolf hopped into view.
Eberwolf had insisted two weeks later that they keep a photo album. To have pictures so they could look back at all the adventures they've had together.
He didn't get it when Darius eagerly agreed.
Now, nearly an entire year later, he does.

The man glanced down at his sleeping form and he looked small, vulnerable, and trusting Darius to hold him gently after years of getting none of that from Belos. Trusting that the hands currently cradling the back of his head would never force it down, never grip his hair hard enough that it hurts. That a hug would not end up in bruises and reprimands about how weak and childish he was. Hunter trusted him and it was a gift like no other.

"Hunter smiles widely and pretends very hard he’s not trying his damn hardest not to jump in joy. Darius doesn’t point it out, not even to tell him that he doesn’t mind.
He’s not sure how exactly to say that without bringing unwanted attention to it that’ll make Hunter shut off again and keep as still and stiff as a toy soldier, like he did the first few times they had sewing lessons together. So he doesn’t say anything, hoping that eventually the kid will realize on his own that he can simply be himself when no one else is around."
