Summary
Somehow the fantastic plan Xue Meng had come up with to deal with ‘the Chu Wanning issue’ – bury it deep enough that no light or nourishment would ever reach it and ignore it as long as possible – has backfired spectacularly under the sheer strain of the panic he’s currently clawing against. The small noise of discontent Chu Wanning had made in response was enough for Xue Meng to accept his death and to begin digging the grave all over again.
And so here they are, Xue Meng pressed into the corner of the cab with the safety handle digging into the small of his back and his face sweating, and Chu Wanning who even after being trapped with a crazy person looks ethereal and perfect with his finger jammed into the emergency button on the panel.
