Nancy is talking again but he cannot hear her, there is a phone booth on the other side of the theater, all he needs is one call to hopefully right the wrongs of his past.

Steve is bleeding. The mall is in shambles and the ceiling is coming down. Billy Hargrove is dead and a third of the town with him. Steve runs through the mall's corridors until he can't, banging and pleading on locked doors for someone to open one and save him.

“But at least you have your man beside you, huh? The world cannot shake you from him.” Steve genuinely doesn’t know what to say to that. Sure, he thinks Billy’s going to be be his side. It’s not like he can imagine otherwise, not with how engrained Billy is into his life, his daily routines. Where would he be without Billy making fun of his movie choices but watching them anyways? Or Billy himself making Steve watch the most sappy romcoms he can find, just because he knows how Steve secretly loves them.
