Summary
Almost everyone on the Boiling Isles knows of the cursed Clawthorne sisters, the daughters of a famous palisman carving clan sharing an affliction that none know the origin of. That is to say, none except for the older of the two, Lilith Clawthorne. To the Isles, Lilith is a martyr, sacrificing her own power to ease the sudden burden of her younger sister, allowing Edalyn to take on the mantle of the Emperor’s Coven and help bring order by the titan’s will. To Lilith, the beast within her is only the consequence of her own monstrous actions.
What changed when guilt struck much earlier, and the pain was shared as soon as it was inflicted? As it turns out, a lot.
