Summary
Miki Saionji looked up from her phone to the building in front of her, a simple building like any other in Shibuya, then took a deep breath. She could do it. She was cool, everything was going to be perfect. There was no need to worry about anything.
She entered the building and proceeded to the third floor, then towards the office which bore a sign with “Gatto Nero” written on it. She froze in front of the door, her hand hovering a few inches from it, hesitating to knock. After a few seconds, she gathered her strength, composed herself, and then, as she was about to knock, the door swung open.
“Yes, Eri, I’ll be right ba- Oh.”

Some might consider the gift of prophecy a burden, a nuisance, or even a major downer. Doubly so, when it exclusively warns him of peoples’ eventual demise. But Shinta can roll with the punches, dish a little advice, and stay as cool as ever. Do the kids listen? Nah. But that’s on them.

Summary
Shinta Iwata was a bit of an oddball. Loved his comfort and space. Loved doing his own thing, contrary to everyone else. Loved his Showa-era antiques and cough drops, while side-eying the Heisei babies who stumbled and touched the merchandise like they knew what to do with it. Really, if they couldn't appreciate it, what's the point in selling to them?
Shigemori Iwata was a bit of an oddball. Wouldn't know it by just looking at him, but he loved to sing. Loved his band, the Shibu-Q Trio, and loved the attention. Maybe a little too much, but whatever made him comfortable made him comfortable. Always stepped into the spotlight, whether others liked it when he did or not.
Yoji Iwata was a bit of an oddball. Loved his music. Loved dancing to his own beat, and to the beat of whatever he was listening to. Worked at his favorite job at TOWER RECORDS. Just enjoyed life, tapping his feet down the streets of Shibuya like nobody was watching him. And it was those two dudes up there who showed him how to be the weirdo he is.

Summary
This.
On a Monday night.
At three in the morning.
After a relatively quiet graveyard shift that Tomoko Hirawsawa had spent subtly headbanging to TATAKAI, her stress-relieving old favourite in The Dead Seatbelters' discography.
This had just had to happen.
Her hand hovered over the 110 speed-dial.
Tomoko hadn't even noticed him arrive; she'd simply heard the crinkle of wrappers and looked up to find some imposing punk in combat boots and black face-obscuring trenchcoat devouring half the remaining stale fried chicken from the warmer. Jamming the wrappers into his coat pocket in fervent impatience, bordering on mania, he muttered unintelligibly to himself—occasionally laughing in a way that made her fingers inch towards the call button.
Except when Tomoko tried to dispose of his plastic wrappers, he stopped her. "Need 'em for my arts 'n' crafts time," he said, scooping the wrappers back into his coat pocket. "These vibrations are zetta stylish."
These vibrations? Did he mean...The Dead Seatbelters' music, which barely anyone else appreciated?Series

Summary
Shinta runs his place at Cosmic Corner the way he wants to. His own little domain in the middle of wacky ol' Shibuya. He gets to call the shots, gets to say that the necklaces should hang from the ceiling, the clothes separated by design rather than type—those old multi-fabric homemade skirts deserve to chill beside those tie-dye shirts that looked straight out of the '70s—and the cough drops tucked away behind his counter, a premium item. Sure, people might call him a weirdo, but he'll live the way he wants. And, yes, he only takes cash. Tough luck, ShibuPay-carrying Heisei baby.
Then a sixteen-year-old schoolgirl rolls up at Cosmic Corner one day and outweirds him. Barely able to string two words together, stumbling over herself and shouting unintelligible noises, she leaves him scratching his head. Eh, some days just end up weird. "See you later, alligator?" Nah—he doesn't expect to.
But then she keeps coming back. And back. And back. In 2018. In 2020. In 2022. A triptych set across five years, an unlikely friendship, a developing acceptance of the self, and a mutual love for gators. "See you later, alligator?" Yeah, he will.
