"Why are you here? There's plenty of kisaengs in the capital. Why here in backwater Daegu, Your Highness?" Hoseok spits the last phrase acidly.
Taehyung watches him, eyes furious, but his tone has conviction when he answers, "I came here for you."
"Bullshit!" Hoseok screeches as he shoves the Prince away from him, scent souring in irritation.
Sent to Daegu to spy on a suspected resistance hideout by the King, palace omega Jung Hoseok struggles to keep his identity a secret as he dives right into the enemy's den. Six men hold the nation's fate in their hands but it's Hoseok who has to choose who should come out on top. Deceit, power, and uncertainty warp the road that he must take to survive, and on the way he cannot trust any of them, not even the father of the child he carries.

Jimin brought his nose close to but didn't touch Hoseok’s neck and inhaled. “You smell like an omega."
“What?”
“You smell like an omega,” Jimin repeated. “It's so weird. It still smells like you but completely omegan. Yesterday it was just a hint sweeter like you had a scent mark but still alpha underneath, but now there's no alpha at all.”
Jimin pressed in closer and let his nose actually touch Hoseok’s skin.
Hoseok was starting to feel faint.
He had gone his whole life being an alpha. He had slept with plenty of omegas who would be confirm he had a dick and knot. He had never expected he would one day wake with that dick magically gone and his best friend telling him he smelled like an omega - that he likely was suddenly an omega.

Hoseok goes into heat unexpectedly at work and decides to call Namjoon, his alpha best friend for help. Namjoon in turn calls their other alpha best friend Yoongi to help pick Hoseok up and house him during his heat.
Something unspoken blooms between them three as they go through Hoseok's heat together.

Hoseok wasn’t sure how to handle BTS courting each other in preparation to make their pack official. He wanted it, badly, but he couldn’t have it, because giving in would mean revealing his deepest secret.
That Hoseok was not a beta like the whole world believed, but actually an omega.
