Jaskier hadn't thought Geralt was lying when he had said that the Witchers would spend most of the winter in their wolf form, because Geralt wasn't really the type to lie about things like that. That being said, it had still been a shock to fall asleep next to a man shaped Witcher and wake up cuddled up to a wolf shaped one.

Geralt hums. He looks, Jaskier sees when he peers through his fingers, distinctly amused. Both corners of his mouth are turned up. “To be fair,” he says, “we also spar, and hunt boar, and mend armor.”
