My interpretation of the the prompt:
Teenage AU in which Person A and Person B are secretly a thing and both get invited to a huge Christmas party and are told to bring their dates. So, they each find dates to bring, but spend the night trying to escape them and get to each other.

Seth's Grandma died in the Summer, and it's taken him this long to work up the courage to return to the small town he grew up in to see what's left of the place he spent his happiest Christmases.
