Wasn't it strange how the tides changed? Scar had never thought there would be a time when his body was the one brimming bright with countless lives, while Grian was only one wrong step away from becoming consumed by bloodthirst.
The two froze in place as they caught sight of one another, two deer caught in each other's headlights. It was Scar who managed to tear himself out of the strange trance first.
