Remus’ trips down the hall really did used to be just that; a trip to make copies, print something out, or fill up on coffee. It wasn’t until about a month into his employment at the company that he even realized whose office he was walking by every day.

Sirius had always been meant for something bigger than their hometown. Had been destined for grittier, grander, and more exciting, to be somewhere brand new and sprawling with the best food and the coolest people. He'd been born to enter Remus' life and leave it, leaving equal rippling effects each time. Remus had always been okay with that. Or, at least, he'd tried to be.

Four years ago, Remus Lupin was left behind in his tiny, redneck Midwest town when his only three friends left for college. Their return for one final hoorah in the summer of ‘07 opens up his mind to something other than the fate he'd resigned himself to.

Summary
In another life, Sirius wonders what it would be like if one of them were an alpha and they could take care of each other in the traditional sense, could maybe just bond as friends and never have to separate themselves. In these dreams, Remus is almost always the alpha, despite Sirius' loathing of his second sex he struggles to imagine himself as anything but an omega. As an alpha, he would have done his family's bidding and followed along, might never would have learned how ingrained his value is in his presentation.
And if he were an alpha he wouldn't have this, Remus with him, tucking him close and holding him, giving him what he needs. Who knows what his life would be like if he didn't have Remus.
(Or, Sirius Black has no interest in settling down: he's perfectly happy with his life as a bachelor; he gets to live with his best friend in the whole world, and gets to do what he wants, when he wants. But when he and Remus end up pregnant at the same time due to a fluke of fate, settling down might not be so bad after all.)

Summary
Remus has been dancing to pay the bills for years, taking care of himself and his parents, trying to forget the dreams he once had for himself. When he finds out that the club will be closing temporarily, leaving him without any income, he decides to take his favorite client up on a very intriguing offer, agreeing to live with him while he pays for his every need.
He just hopes that he doesn't get his heart broken in the meantime.
