Summary
Nathan Shepard has more than enough on his plate: end of the world, new Spectre status, the crushing weight of everyone's expectations, without having his ex assigned at his Staff Lieutenant. Thankfully Kaidan doesn't seem to recognize him. Which is fair, Nate's come a long way from the scrappy thug that used to sell pretty boys red sand for cheap in exchange for a bit of attention. Now, Shepard just needs to remember that Kaidan /doesn't/ remember.

"Deal, Kandros." She holds out her hand. He shakes it. After all this time it still feels so weird for five fingers to wrap around his palm. What do humans do with them? Where do they put them when they aren't using their hands? So many pointless questions he'll never get any answers to. Kandros lets his subvocals voice the curiosity he won't put in words. Sajax faces him. Thankfully she was the only other turian nearby. He raises a hand to wave her off, before leaning back on the console Ryder was now smiling at.
