This story could be considered "another ending," as far as the Jurors are concerned. In a decisive moment just before the point of no return, Jack is made to believe that Glen has a way to bring Lacie back that is merely impermissible, not impossible. Clinging to that hope, he discards his plans to break the chains between worlds and sink the world into the Abyss with Lacie. But, what if that hope was only a figment of his imagination and he threw everything away for nothing? Could even false hope slowly change a person as twisted as Jack?
