“Nope.” He shrugs nonchalantly as he takes a sip of coffee, his eyes scanning the traffic as they wait. “Guess I was waiting for you.”
Donna can feel her cheeks burning despite the cold morning, a warmth swelling in her chest at his words. She knows he’s only teasing, that this is what they do, apparently.
