Rone’s heart, that shouldn’t exist, stutters.
“...What?”
Leonas takes a steadying breath, minutely rolling the tension from his neck before squaring his shoulders to face Rone head on.
“Who’s Bowman?”
Or, while regrouping after Stonebeard's arrest, tensions are high, Leonas is struggling to grapple with Rone's recent secrecy, and Rone just wants to help him heal.

“Well, everything— you had it all, but… Rone 's not a douchebag.”
Something unfurls in Rone’s chest, a quick, frightening thing. It’s soft, as soft as the way Leonas had finished his statement, and warm against the cold shield of indifference Rone had carefully instructed to protect his unbeating heart. He isn’t sure why it’s there, fluttering like a hummingbird in a cage, too loud and shimmery and brilliantly colorful to ignore.
Rone ignores it anyway.
