Summary
Post-War AU, seeing colors upon meeting your soulmate – When Hizashi and Shouta befriended Shirakumo, both of them started to see shades of blue, knowing the three of them were soulmates. They lost their ability to see the color blue when Shirakumo died. So, of course, they have a hard time wrapping their head around the thought that their friend is buried under Kurogiri. They should be able to see blues again if it really was Shirakumo, right? But the more time they spend with Kurogiri, recovering their friend bit by bit, the more the sky looks blue again...

"Shouta liked the voice in his head. For as grating as it was, it belonged to him; his soulmate; someone who allegedly held the other half of his soul, and whose soul he held in return, if he wanted to be romantic about it.
That being said, it was a bit difficult to be romantic about anything when there were lives on the line. Much less the lives of his students. "
Voice in Your Head AU. The voice in your head when you are thinking actually belongs to your soulmate. Your thoughts are voiced by them; any songs stuck in your head are sung by them; everything you read is narrated in their voice. Shouta had long since grown used to the crackling, raspy voice that accompanied his every thought (even if the sound of it did make him concerned for the man's health). It was a unique voice; one that was easily recognizable, should he hear it. If he ever crossed paths and spoke with his soulmate, he would know. And he did. He just couldn't imagine a worse way of finding out.

Summary
Second only to the value of quirks is that of soul marks. A person is measured first by the value they provide to society, Sekijiro learns, and second by the value they provide to others. It’s said that a child is born with their soul mark and will receive their quirk by the age of four—two gifts that allow them to touch others.
At four, Sekijiro gets his quirk—it’s one that will make him valuable to others. At four, he also realizes he doesn’t have a soul mark.
