Harry has to stay with Snape after blowing up Marge. Draco is there too, and at first, it's every bit as bad as he expected, but then Snape finds out about the bruises.
This is an exploration of trauma and its after effects. Not just the abuse of hatred and venom that Harry endured, but the vicious indoctrination Draco suffered at the habds of his loving parents, and the years of guilt and shame from mistakes that can never be mended that haunt Snape. It's a tear jerker, but it's very good! The character exploration is top tier, with everyone starting more or less as they were in book canon (seriously, Snape is an ASS at the start!), and they grow and change so much, yet so believably!
