Summary
Abram Hatford has never questioned his mother, and why would he when she’s done everything for him, including caring for him when he developed the potentially deadly “allergy” to sunlight called xeroderma pigmentosum? Abram never questions his mother, even when it means never leaving the house until the sun is safely below the horizon. He’s perfectly content to experience the world in darkness, to live vicariously through books and music and his fourth favourite thing in the world: Exy, a sport he’ll never be allowed to play.
When his mother is killed in a car accident, his life begins to unravel, truths falling from between the tightly woven threads of lies, the truth about his father and about his condition. Will this new information change everything or nothing at all?
