“Let go of me!” he snaps uselessly down at those strands of fog. They curl away, only slightly, but still loom right next to him. Reminding him that they could leap back at him at any moment. It’s a taunt. He’s sure of that.

Samuel’s head whips around, that gleeful voice calling from just behind him. He looks to see…
Oh, God.
A man in a dirty black cloak sits on Rose’s cot. A man with a gleeful smirk is in his room. A man that Samuel knows, who left him wondering if he’d lost his mind, is smirking languidly as he reclines on Rose’s bed like a cat, limbs sprawled out on that bed. Like he knows exactly where he is, and exactly how much of a violation it is.
