Summary
She’d only known Ben a couple months—as long as Finn and Poe had been dating—and one of the first things she had learned about Ben was that he and Poe used to fool around in high school. It had made Finn nervous that they were still close.
Rey tried to reassure Finn that Poe had been upfront, which was a good sign, but it hadn’t quelled his nerves. When she met Ben, she understood why.
Tall and broad, she couldn’t look away from him, even in the busiest room. His hair was long and thick, and she had imagined running her hands through it far too many times.
(Or: Rey mistakenly thinks Ben is gay, so she pines. Thankfully, she finds out she is wrong.)
