I just wanted an excuse to put Anh and Alestes in a fight scene tbh. Their banter in episode 2 is SO GOOD and I thought it'd be fun to give writing it a go myself :) -

Well. Not as much as Alestes. Revenge was quickly replaced with Alestes: her fight with Alestes, her on top of Alestes, her desire to kiss Alestes and then glide her knife along her beautiful neck and watch as crimson blood poured from the wound she made.
The images brought her something close to peace. She didn’t think real peace could ever exist, not anymore. Not ever since Alestes… She shook her head. She could think about that later. Now she had to focus on her prey."

"Alestes looked at Gammon, trepidation painted on her face. His eyes glinted like they always did when he had a plan. 'What would I have to do?' She almost feared the answer, but if she could get out from Gammon's grasp… maybe his proposition was worth it.
He smiled, that fake, practiced smile that was anything but kind. 'Oh, it’s nothing much. Not even hard, really, for someone like you.'
'Enough with the bullshit, Gammon, what do you want me to do?' Alestes’ eyes narrowed. If it was anyone other than Gammon she was talking to, she probably would have unsheathed her cutlass by now.
Gammon sighed, and Alestes could have sworn he was looking at her with pride. 'All you need to do,' he began slowly, 'is kill Anh.'"
