Summary
“Shhhhh..” Travis paces with his little girl in his arms, who has had a nasty little cold for the past couple days. She’s thrashing about into his shoulder, not quite crying but still making noise to show that she’s uncomfortable.
“Baby, it’s okay..” His voice is low, husky with sleep. He’d just sat down in the recliner beside her crib, catching the smallest wink of sleep, when she started to cry out. He was exhausted from his late day at work but he’d do anything for his daughter, and that meant staying up with her as long as was needed. “Daddy’s got you, he’ll make everything better.”
