It's a simple question. An ice breaker. The connotation of his voice is nothing more than casual.
Yet coming from Devon, it makes Tyler feel like the whole world is crashing down. Suddenly self-conscious, he crosses his arms over the logo on his shirt, turning pink as he expected a jab or a taunt to come his way.
"No! This is just- It's not mine." He blurts out, and he already knows he screwed it. He sounds too defensive.
"Is it your girlfriend's?"

La habitación se quedó en silencio mientras Devon lo miraba expectante, Tyler en ese momento sintió la necesidad de fundirse contra la silla; la vergüenza subió por todo su cuerpo haciendo que las ganas de vomitar se intensificaran contra su garganta. ¡Oh mierda!, esto acabará bastante mal, Devon lo vería como un niño, más de lo que ya era, y todo se derrumbaría nuevamente, tenía que salir de ahí pronto.
