Summary
The second she hears his car come alive through the phone, she feels a bit more human. Feels like she’s regaining control, like she can breathe, like she’s no longer drowning in pain and liquor. But then it’s gone, and the world is spinning again, and then her phone almost falls out of her hand. She manages to catch it, clutches it to her ear and catches the end of his giggle.
“Don’t laugh at me.”
“Never thought you’d be an amusing drunk, Quinn. But you’re surprisingly funny. And clumsy, apparently.”
