Summary
Young Cleon vows never to be like his older brother, when he becomes emperor of the Galaxy. He witnesses the unfortunate destiny of a small girl called Aenea, whose fate, from that moment onwards, seems forever linked to his own. As they move forward with their own lives and grow into adulthood, their paths cross again. Neither know that Cleon's fate, as well as that of the empire, may well change forever, all because of flawed genetic engineering and an unexpected event that follows.
The balance in the empire has been disturbed and along with it danger threatens the lives of both. Neither realise that the threat originates from closer to home than they could have ever imagined.
