Summary
After 10 years as a member of SG-1, Samantha Carter is moving on. Accepting the position of Expedition Leader of the Ancient Cityship Atlantis, Sam has six weeks to get her life on Earth sorted before travelling to the Pegasus Galaxy for the two year posting.
Tendering his retirement, Jack O’Neill has finally convinced Samantha Carter to give him a chance, despite his dodgy knees, and they take a vacation to his secluded cabin in Minnesota.

Story Summary:The Ashrak sent by Cronus gets to Sam and Jolinar before Teal'c and Jack can reach them. Jack suggests a sarcophagus the team found a few weeks earlier on a deserted world, although at the time it didn’t appear to work. Sam believed it would have, if a body had been placed in it. As Jolinar and Sam flat-line, and Dr. Fraiser can’t revive them, Hammond tells them to go. They take her there, and it does work when a body is placed inside it. It works fine, and Sam and Jolinar leave it fully revived. But Jolinar comes out of it with a few extra body parts. Parts that are now permanently attached to Sam. Modified by a long absent, highly advanced race, it has abilities far beyond reviving the dead.

Summary
While SG-1 and Martouf/Lantash visited P2X-586 to negotiate a treaty, a powerful storm hit. O’Neill, Daniel, and Teal’c made it safely back to the Stargate, but Sam and Martouf/Lantash were crossing a dangerous river when the cresting water washed the bridge away, and them with it. Sam awakens, wet and cold, and finds Martouf/Lantash unconscious and badly hurt. She carries him to safety, but their bad luck does not end there; the entrance to the cave they are seeking shelter in collapses, trapping them, with little food and water.

Finally, more than a month after Sam became Jolinar's host, they are being allowed to go to meet the Tok'ra and maybe ally with them.
