Summary
A Lunar Exalt, who has gone by many names over the thousands of years of her existence, recalls with remarkable clarity the history of her relationship with her Solar Mate. He is a powerful sorcerer who devotes his life to the pursuit of a solution to the problem of reincarnation, supposedly solely for the love of his wife and a desire to be more perfectly united with her throughout their lives. As is often the case, the best laid plans of Solars go terribly awry, and the couple descend into a terrible cycle of abuse and supernatural manipulation.
