Lilu finds herself in now beginning a new life as a miner with Argos Extractors, under United Colonies supervision, when she's plunged into the hunt for the Artifacts with Constellation. She meets the man, quite literally, of her dreams in Sam Coe, a former Freestar Ranger turned explorer. But the fairy tale ending is anywhere but close, because Lilu is no princess. She's a hardened soldier from a different life. Constellation and the Settled Systems won't know what to make of her. Neither will Sam. Lilu has a lot of painful trauma to overcome and Sam isn't lacking in baggage himself. Our time traveler might just find love and healing in this new frontier. If everyone will just give her a fighting chance, the difference she could make could tip the balance towards Constellation's success. If they get in her way, they risk their own peril.
