Summary
Sam wakes from a nightmare, one where Louise dies where he can't reach her, silent and shrinking... too small to save. The panic that follows is suffocating, so visceral he can’t separate dream from reality. Deadman finds him unraveling in the dark, and does the only thing he can: remind Sam that Louise is alive, safe, sleeping just beside the two of them in her crib.
A quiet night in the aftermath of grief, fear, and love... where holding on is an act of survival, and letting someone hold you is harder than it should be.
