Summary
All of Mousedom is baffled at the theft of random, often seemingly worthless objects. At first the occurences seem to be the work of an amateur with no set motive, but being sucked into the mystery leads Basil and Dawson into a dangerous game of mice who walk without shadows, and beauty that is only skin-deep... Mousedom is to be overtaken once again...
