“Refrain from addressing me in that manner in front of my subordinates,” he said, irritation evident.
Da Hee released an audible huff and seated herself in his chair behind the desk, stretching her legs over the surface, heedless of the items she displaced.
Shi Oh’s exasperated sigh elicited a smirk from Da Hee. She relished the way she could precisely irritate him, knowing just which buttons to press.
“Why? Does it bruise your ego to have a woman speak to you like that?”
Shi Oh let out a sarcastic laugh, his hands buried in his trouser pockets. Da Hee turned away, reminding herself that his handsomeness was forbidden territory. She had enough problems without adding forbidden attraction to the mix.
“For someone eager to leave, you seem to relish this predicament,” Shi Oh remarked.
“Your distress is rather amusing,” Da Hee quipped.
His gaze locked onto hers, and for a moment, they were caught in each other’s eyes.
“I wasn’t aware you had an interest in me,” Shi Oh said.
