Summary
The Masked Shadow wants to help it's friend. Unfortunately it doesn't know what the tea is about the human experience.
This is basically a reinterpretation of Shadow's intentions when it comes to why it wants to 'assimilate' Sam, with an added bit of original backstory I cooked up to add context.
