Olivia becomes Alex's handler after Alex is gang-raped in Central Park by three men. Liv is instantly drawn to her.Cragen shares that female Cabot's give off a sexual pull, after his partner was convicted of the kidnap, rape and murder of Alex's grandmother, Agnes, 30 years before.
Alex tests Olivia's risk, having nothing to lose following her most recent rape. Olivia passes. Alex identifies herself as Pure Blood Omega in a severely imbalanced hierarchical system. PBO's are the most powerless, rare and intoxicating of statuses. She informs Liv that only the fear of death or a conscience are more powerful than her sexual pull. This pull strengthens at Alex's time of the month. Both women own their instant attraction, whilst mutually recognising they're falling for one another.
Both Stabler and Novak assault Alex, due to their lack of conscience. Both times, Olivia saves her.
