Hello! I'm Jo (Joséphines), Belgium-based, 34.
While I've been part of AO3 for several years, I'm not entirely certain I've ever really taken the time or made the effort to introduce myself here. I discovered the wonders of the World Wide Web, and its opportunities, as a pre-teenager. For most of my life, it has offered an ever-invaluable way for me to connect with people all over the world, through stories, through photography, through gaming. As an adult, I can't deny that an increased lack of free time does have an impact on all of those things, but that doesn't mean that my self-expression doesn't matter anymore, when I get to it in whichever form.
Apparently, I'm a workaholic, since I regularly answer work-related calls and mails long after work hours. While I have an MA in Criminology, I work in a slightly different field and manage a demanding team of thirty (mostly headstrong and contrarian, sometimes hilarious) people.
When I'm not gaming as a way to de-stress, I like to write and add to the epic novel I'm working on or process thoughts or feelings through journaling, or I go off into the world and take all sorts of pictures. 📗 📷 I like to travel. 🌎
I live with Bert, my husband, and share any and all of his attention with our baby boy and our wonderful feline foursome. 🐱
