Bio

Jules Verne has always captured my imagination. Some claim a few of his greatest stories are lost to the English-speaking world because of terrible translations that survived a century. Fortunately, there are qualified experts diligently working to rectify that situation. Laughing at the atrocities of the translation is being replaced by laughing at the subtle humor Monsieur Verne weaves within his tomes.

I write for fun. The idea of "someday making it big" just doesn't appeal to me. Either people enjoy what I write or they put it to the side like an old worn suit. The everyday plot is trying to do more than get by. Most people are aware of the notion, "Working 9 to 5." Writing is more than a second job -- it is a labor of love. Rarely do I see the need to post something.

When you look into a mirror, you see a two-dimensional image of yourself. You can't see love, hate, jealousy -- but you can see a hair growing out of a mole and realize this time it is completely gray. Then you realize the lack of depth. If reimagining a classic, can you give it depth? Or do you find yourself "skimming along" for the sake of creating a line that the kids can relate to? Non-standard question -- my apologies.

Drop a note and we can collaborate about the craft.
