Welcome welcome welcome! R. Coots here. I figured that since I’ve got stories posted, I may as well put up a profile. I love reading and movies and TV shows, and I love art and writing as well. Mixing all of these tends to make for more fanfiction and fanart ideas than I can really push out of my head at once. But every so often one of the ideas manages to worm its way out and onto paper. They take over my life I tell you!
Hide,Hide Yourself for Now: My current obsession. Tossed around a lot of ideas for this before settling on the one I went with. I wanted to do a Riddick/River story that wasn’t a retelling of Pitch Black. There are a number of very fine variations on that theme, but that’s just the thing. There are a number of them. Neither did I want to merge Riddick’s universe right into Firefly. Again, some very good stories, but there’s only so many times that it will work. So I hunted for ways to drop River into Riddick’s home turf. At first she was going to have ended up in Crematoria somehow and gotten out with him, but that was a little too contrived for my tastes. So I went with the greatest common denominator that the two had in common. Cryo. And this story was born. I hope you all enjoy. I’m having loads of fun. Please be aware, Riddick is a grumpy bear straight out of hibernation for the first few chapters. Wait for it, as he says, and we’ll get to the Riddick that helped Caroline up out of the mud and was more focused on Kyra in that throne room than the Lord Marshall. Just wait
